I first though, wow, 3on3 is great and so skillful after watching this replay... then i watched the replays and i though OMG, reminds me of my 1st time wc3 concerning the skill, the only thing ok was the strat... also, it appeared to me that there seems to be absolutely no manner and no vent/ts use in 3on3

Welcome to Battle.net, future. What you probably don't realize is that I play a lot of the same players. Some of the games are against players I know or am friends with so there is no trash talking. For the others, at some point in the past they started the trash talking first.

Also, trash talking is part of the game. I even contemplated writing a section on it.

Yes, I know there are a lot of people who talk trash in the game, I just don't see why you need to get involved in it, it makes watching your games much less enjoyable. I did like the tri panda strat and the +62 dmg lich :P

as someone who used to played tons of 3v3 and simutaneously pushed 2 seperate 3v3 Hu/Ne/orc teams to 1st and 6th position, I must say this guide is indeed extremely comprehesive and covers every single top strat we've ever encountered. very well written. awesome job dude.

oh yeah trash talk is not only funny sometimes, but also fun if you play along with their BS. lighten up, it's game. keep your serious attitude for real life situations.

That's why I managed to get rank 5 Northrend with OOH.

The other explaination: Northrend sucks omglol.

Very strong late t1 or early t2 push.

about trash talking... indeed it is apart of the game and a lot of the time thats what made the game so fun. people would trash talk us all the time and often we would get on a smurf to match them again. those game are most enjoyable. even more fun were the lasting feuds with ppl like jeffo.carried etc. you arent going to get a better guide than this. we've been to the top multiple times and lost a lot of games to learn this info. -Hamzilla

RE the 3s guide: I didn't quite make it through the Introduction, because the last paragraph was hilariously pathetic. Why do you care if people think 3s is for noobs? You think you're better than them? You probably are... at 3s. Maybe stop caring so much about what other people think, and let people take the guide the way they want.

re the 3v3 guide: when logon massing against a standard team, how does the orc player avoiding being mashed by the fs/kotg harass? they're not going to go after the ne/ud (especially after you released the guide), and a solo tc isn't so hot against the harass.

Straydog - The best way to handle the FS/KotG harass while logon massing is to have your NE ally keep wisps around your creeping TC and grunts. This allows you (with shared control) to use his wisp(s) to deto any entangled grunts and wolves.

Also while the Standard team is harassing the creeping Orc, the NE Potm (with searing arrow selected first) should just focus the KotG the entire time. It does not take long to force the KotG to run and the Orc can then resume creeping.

Malystryx[TBP] - MGs that are not upgraded with the tier 3 skins die very very quickly to tauren. In order for MGs to be effective the NE must be teched all the way to tier 3, not to mention the costs of skin upgrades and the MGs themselves (which cost as much as a new hero).

These costs also make it extremely difficult to put up an expansion at the same time. A team with a tier 2 expanding elf feeding a tier 3 orc for more tauren would be better off than both the NE and Orc going for melee. This also presents a problem in the event of facing mass destroyers. With just 6-8 fiends (assuming your UD lost none all game) your team probably won't have enough AA to fight mass destros without dryads and archers.

Essentially I think that any team teching hard for BOTH MGs (with skins) and tauren will be beaten early by a regular standard team.

Just to be clear I am not saying that MGs are bad. I just don't think it's a good idea to hard tech for them. In very late game situations where your team has plenty of expos and your NE already has a good number of dryads, it can be a good idea to make a few skinned MGs.

They have very low damage output, but are great tanks and the taunt is nice for messing up the enemy team's micro. They are not bad units, they are just not game breaking enough to hard tech for.

A good example of late game MG (always with skins, they are useless without them) usage can be seen in replay number 19 from the replay pack.
