Reality is such a bitch.
by William Douglass

Textured air glazed over my body.
Sheets weighed a thousand pounds.
Creases in the bed were bigger than usual,
As dim lights brightened the room.
Shadows lurked closer than usual.
Clockwise spiral,
As the fan bled night
Relaxation occupies the boundries of your brain.
Thoughts of the slightestest things bleem.
Confusion blights the mind like steam,
Deemed insanity for a brief time,
Luckily that isn't a crime...
A counter clockwise motion begins in the fan,
Screams of agony tossed outside,
As the night flies away
The Shadows now hide for safety,
As the dim lights get ambushed by gleeming sun rays.
Creases now feel smaller,
Like shallow piece of water.
The Floor catches the sheets that are thrown down.
Piercing sunlight strains the eyes.
Why do I keep awakening?
The eternity of sleep seems much more peaceful,
Than this war torn earth we live for,
Repeating this process every day makes life so painful,
Life could be complete in our sleep.
