Audio Commentator Openings!

Are you an expert player? Do you like to talk to yourself? Well then you may have what it takes to be an audio commentator for WCReplays.

We are particularly looking for Human, Orc, or Random players, ideally level 30 or higher, to join our staff as audio commentators. If this sounds like you, submit an email and audio/replay sample ZIPPED (with Winzip only) to Applications@WCReplays.com.

The following information MUST be included in the email (which will be handled confidentially):

Name and age
Member name (if applicable)
Bnet account(s) - note your current level and your level in 1.14b
Short summary of the commentary
Starting time in the replay for your sample
Contact information
What is your favorite race for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne?
What style of commentaries will you do (strategy, comedy)?
Why do you think we should hire you as an Audio Commentator?
What experience do you have in Warcraft III (levels, how long you have played, etc)?
For the commentary audio settings please use PCM24k mhz 8 bit mono. Rosoft Audio Recorder 3.5.1 (http://download.com.com/3000-2168-10290669.html) is a free audio recorder that you can use (note: it does install spyware that you can uninstall after use). Audio Record Wizard (http://download.com.com/Audio%20Record%20Wizard/3000-2140-10292054.html) is the shareware our commentators use.

Do not send any commentaries over 6 MB (less than 30-minute game). Also, don't forget to include the replay in your zip file.

If i kept playin ladder games i could be lvl 20 sumthin and if i stuck with my acc but that accs gay so i created a new 1 and i only custom....and i also sing a lot wen i play games or watch replays (damn The Darkness and their catchy song lyrics) but its a thing to think about.^^

I chose it as the only free non trial audio I could find, I deleted it rather easily and have removed it's spyware.. if you don't like it find your own, was simply an alternative if you couldn't find your own.

We'll accept applications until 1 week from today.

Saying you can get lvl 30 is much different than being lvl 30, we probably will skip over people that say this and aren't even close to the level.

Well, I'd love to do an audio commentary, the only problem is I'm not even near lvl 30, think more like lvl 15 (I could get to lvl 20 RT, or higher maybe, but don't feel like playing that many games, damn AMM). I don't really care about lvl, I've beaten lvl 30 players in 2vs2 RT, but I've been owned by lvl 10 solo players as well :O . But I like to talk about my games and see what I did wright and wrong... Guess I'll skip this one and get some more practise and try again in a month or so, I have a feeling there will be other openings in the future.

hey sapphire i recorded one and it was only 25 min, i put the settings @ mono, 8 bit, and sample rate @ lowest (11,025), yet the 25 min audio, when zipped, was 8 MB, and u said under 30 min should be below 6 MB, lil help plz ^ _ ^

I'm playing Random, but I'm not that high of a level for the simple fact I dont play that much of ladder (mostly a time issue). I guess I could get to Level 20 Solo rather easily, given I'd have the time to do so. I've beaten players that are Level 30-33 now and beaten Teams in AT that are Level 22 now. Since I'd be making more of a mix of comedy and strategy in my audios would I be able to apply?

Why would you need those races? I feel alot bigger lack of night elf commentaries. Phreak makes a lot, ok, but very few of them has been from night elfs perspective.. I want more of Mr.Cygnus
