Tree hiding - it really works!

I most recently played a solo game versus a level 15 player. I immediatly dispelled my wisps and uprooted, then ate trees and hid. An hour and half later, my opponent went AFK, and moved in, rooted, got some gold, and a team of chims, and won the game, 2 hours after it began. Funniest replay I've ever done/seen.

i didint watch the game but im sure anyone could win if their opponent went afk.... lucky that ur opponent went afk cuz this strat doesnt work

That's great! I wonder why you didn't keep the wisps and hide them all over the map and behind creep camps at night. That means that you will have lots of wood by the time your opponent leaves/go AFK. Maybe tens of thousands. Generally, you opponent will look for the spot with no creep and follow the trail of eaten trees from there. They might also go air units and scout. A flying machine does the trick. Also, if the opponent goes AFK, their units tends to attack when engaged. I would just leave instead of going AFK. Thanks anyway for this entertaining news. I hope that you find more great and innovative ways to "beat" the opponent:)

err enemy was stupid... should never go afk in a game, and I would seriously recommend him to make some type of air and scout with that, also your enemies color should always be red to see clearer... your more stupid than lucky, congrat you just wasted 2 hours of game where you couldve played at least another 4 game

I played some jackass who tree hid in a FFA so the map was ungodly huge. I made air and I eventually found him but it took me forever. He hid moonwells and crap all over the map and ate a path into nowhere with his tree of ages. He kept saying "Just leave..you'll never find me!" Like 20 mins later I eventually did find him....it was so lame. Hopefully he'll go to Iraq and get captured by some Al-Queda. Then I'll copy the video of them cutting off his head which will be on the internet and I'll re-dub it and send it to wcreplays and replace the audio with "this is what we do to farm hiders!"

This is NOT great, this is lame. And about the wisps. 5 wisps CANNOT, I repeat CANNOT harvest tens of thousands of wood in 1,5 hour.

hl sucked ass, if you don't know already it was a remake of the quake engine
and cs made hl successful
tfc and spec sucks, the only good hl mod is cs and everyone knows that
gooseman made it on the hl engine coz there was no better engine at the time
if he waited a year then cs inevitibly been made on the q3 engine and hl would not have been heard of
anyway i bet id software could do a better job of cz than valve/ritual did

I had this 4v4 AT the other day where one of them also hid his tree. It was fucking annoying and took us about 20 minutes to find him.

I think that if someone does it at start its np, cus then its easy because u scout and dont see his Tree.

But when u do it after u lost the decisive battle then its just plain gay :disgust:

A guy in one of my games said "I'm going to get close to nature" and by the time i rushed there was no trace of his base then im like wtf???? I search around and see an ancient of war eating trees then im like ohhhh. After i got lazy and knew he had no units i automatically teched to tier 3 and got 5 frost wyrms...hehehe so it was gg and surprisingly he made his way pretty far into the map in 20 minutes >_<
