Ok, I think some of you already know I got a new PC and for this new PC I took extra precautions. All of these programs are really good and I recommend them to everybody! They are either more based on Spyware removal(SW)/Virus Removal(AV)/Firewall protection(FW):

-Ad Aware 6.0 (SW)
-Spybot Search&Destroy(SW)
-Zone Alarm(DW)
-AVG 6.0 Antivirus(AV)
-SysSafe
-Google Toolbar (not really a remover, but a pop-up preventer)
-SysSafe Monitor(registry/application check-up)
-BlackIce Defender (FW;Not-Free)
-Spyhunter(SW)
-aČ StartCenter (AV)
-XP updates (Everything I guess, just update it!)
-Norton SystemWorks (nice in repairing stuff)
-Norman AntiVirus (AV)
TuneUp Utilities 2004 (Cleans registry, hard disk etc.) ( http://www.tune-up.com/ )
jv16powertools ( registry cleaning ) ( http://www.jv16.org/ )
Spyware Blaster (Spyware prevention) ( http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/ )
BeFaster (Internet connection tweaking) ( http://www.ekremdeniz.com/ )
-Peerguardian(FW)
-The cleaner (Cleans registry, hard disk etc.)
-Agnitaum/Tauscan (trojan scaner)
-Sygate Personal Firewall(FW)
-Spysweeper (SW)

Instead of having google tool bar you should just download firefox, it's a lot better.

edit: Nice list btw, here's a few programs you might want:

-peerguardian (blocks unfriendly IPs when you surf on the net-recommended)
-the cleaner (cleans your comp, temp folders, hard drive etc kinda like one you mentioned)
-agnitaum/tauscan (trojan scaner)

I had a Virus some few weeks ago, just backed-up (some) and reinstalled my system the day before. These will be very usefull for me. Thanks a bunch.

you should add:
spysweeper (it removes spyware and protects your homepage, it won't change while spysweeper is activated)
