Hey
I was wondering about, whats the best option for an paladin made for PVP to get as high damage as possible? And also be able to take some tanking?

And in pvp, is it best whit a defensive or dmg build palla? And also, can you heal yourself whit holy light?

sincerely
André.

Pala isnt my forte, so I'll just say that healing works on yourself.

use your "I win" button...I think all paladins have it.

Pala builds dont matter.

Just know that youre a pala and you cant die.

being a pally is very boring....seal, attack, attack, seal, heal, invulnerable, heal attack for ever and ever..

Paladins dont do high damage, at all. And the retribution talents wont solve it entirly.

the price for paladins self healing, buffs and others strong defensive abilites are the fact that they have the lowest dps of all classes. (except maybe a holy specced priest)

well i have no idea about pally skills or what not, but i did have a few arranged duels with one of the best and most geared pallies on the alliance side and he was hitting pretty hard, using some seal that kept criting for 700 damage. managed to lose 2-3 vs him in some very close fights, probably the only pally i have lost to in a fair 1v1 duel.
oh and the "i win" button is "loh" ~_~

Command Seal, it is a talent skill that has a chance to deal holy damage equivalent to the weapon damage. For example, I have a weapon that does 100-100 damage, with Command Seal I have a chance to do 100 damage + another 100 damage from the Seal.

Thanks for reply..!
So you would say, I would be rater good in duel if I just buildt and defensive build paladin, I would still be able to kill others then? Cause, I want to be able to kill, not just tank. And Paladins have they the same "mana" thing as warriors? like fight to get mana? I cant remember the proper name.

No, Rage is for Warriors only, Paladins have mana just like mages, Priests, Hunters, Warlocks, Shamans, Druids.

Rogues have Energy (100 energy total, energy regens 20 energy/2 seconds in and out of battle).

Warriors have Rage, gained by fighting.

I like using the Seal of the Crusader (which increases your attack power AND speed) and then putting points into increasing chances for Critical Hits, and points in Vengance (so when you critical the damage really racks up)

these are all Retribution skills, also if you max out your blessing of might your attack will increase much more.

And for the people whining about paladins, you haven't played them before, they are far from invincible. Strong yes, invincible no.

Personally I like having an offensive paladin better than defensive, because you will be better in parties. In groups the paladin shouldnt be tanking if he is healing. In duels its just a matter of preference, if your choosing defensive you probably will use 1h weapon + shield, while I specialize in 2h weapons.

I would prefer higher dmg and lesser defense since paladins have divine shield and self heal. So thats what i'm going for, thanks for reply's! =)

Okay, I've made a template for a paladin lvl 60. (Oh yea, in Retail I'm aiming for the #60! ) Please tell me what you think and what I might change:

Holy Talents (11 points)

Improved Holy Light - 3/3 points

Illumination - 3/5 points
After getting a critical effect from your Flash of Light or Holy Light spell, gives you a ? chance to gain Mana equal to the base cost of the spell.

Protection Talents (10 points)

Improved Devotion Aura - 5/5 points
Increases the armor bonus of your Devotion Aura by 25%.

Toughness - 5/5 points
Increases your armor value from items by 10%.

Retribution Talents (30 points)

Benediction - 2/5 points

Improved Blessing of Might - 5/5 points

Improved Seal of the Crusader - 5/5 points

useless imo, these spells are cheap, better places to spend them

Plus if You're getting Vengance you should invest in improving your chance to get a critical hit.

I recommend you pick 2 folders to invest in, because if your putting a few points in one, its pretty much pointless

/agree

Also, metallus, you got ninja-nerfed. Crusader was bugged, wasn't supposed to be increasing both power and speed. On Euro servers the patch to nerf that to shit went live :P
