i've finally come up with a final talent order for my rogue and have already reset talents and started it
there's just one thing i cannot decide on
having Master of Deception or Dagger Specialization
+5% crit is nice, but i have no idea just how much MoD is gonan help me late game
right now i have rank 3 stealth and nightcape boots that give me +1 to stealth skill
i had Mod be and i did notice a difference, but i'm wondering if there will be a pt in game when i have more stealth than required to have ease at passing mobs my lvl or my lvl +2-3

Ive dueled many rogues and at lvl 60 rogues WITH MoD are VERY hard to find compared to rogues without a single point in MoD I can almost spot them from a long distance away

If your dagger spec I would think you want the opening hit so I would possibly go MoD instead of 5% to crt.

MoD is useless as far as i'm concerned. Having the +15 % speed while stealthed makes up for anything i'd miss PvP wise. If I was on a PvE server maybe I would use it.

why would you get dagger spec in the first place? its very high up the combat tree, and generally, as a dagger rogue, your gonna want more points in assasin or sublty then combat (for cold/blood, imp ambush, prep. etc.)

For pvp---backstab>ambush right?

For pvp---backstab>ambush right?

yea, but backstab (maxed) takes only 8 points into combat (as opposed to 20 to max dagger spec), where as the rest of combat isn't very good for a dagger rogue, dual wield/blade furry aren't that good, as most of the damage your going to be doing is through bs/ambush.

those 12 points could be used toward getting cold blood, or preperation, or imp. poisens (fast attack speed on daggers means more poisen procs)

etc.

however if the choice is between mod and dagger spec, go dagger =\

well i migfht as well keep posting in a dagger thread not to hijack or anything...but i was thinkin of pretty much just getting the 8 it takes to max ambush....then doing some deception, but most into finishing

well, i've actually decided to take the dual wield talent in replacement of the prev 2
that way i don't have to worry about putting a slow weapon in my main hand whenever i needa swap them around to do backstab

note: with maxed dualk wield, off hand will only do 75% max damage (as opposed to 100% in the main hand)

just fyi.

hmmm... maybe i should go with that reposte skill then
that disarming one.. saw a rogue own a paladin in a dual with that
usually pally beats rogue and i kno it's viable that rogue can be a pally (for u about to whine about that comment), but i mean this paladin had NOTHING on her. had NO chance

Bad paladin or the rogue had crippling on off hand. And yeah riposte is one of the best skills in the game (vs melee classes not mage/priest/warlock/druid sometimes shamans)

Riposte is great for both PVP and PVE if you solo a lot.

Especially for grinding as you will be grinding off Humanoids with weapons 99% of the time you grind.
