Beating Rogues

Ok, so I am a warrior, i cannot beat a rogue without using Retaliation. Even then if the rogue stuns me im dead. Any help?

On my warrior I usually just beat em out dmg wise. I used a shield and a 1 hand weap. The stun skills in the defensive talent tree help alot vs enemies that die/kill quick. Plus when u get 40+ and get plate they dont do AS much dmg.

To be honest if your in a duel and he has any clue you are pretty screwed without having far better gear. In the open you have a chance by just charging him, bleed, hamstring and you SHOULD be ok removing his only 2 escape spells (unless he has blind, in that case just bend over =p)

If you don't have talents in it, you need to respec. Now.

Also, Hamstring helps a lot.

The tough part is getting out of the initial stun without having lost too much of your health. That can come from either good equipment on your part (high armor/stamina), or it can be attributed to the rogue's ineptitude, which is normally the case.

The real trouble is that rogues are simply better at solo PvP than warriors, and there is no trick you can use to get around that.

EDIT: Forgot to say that Overpower helps the most when you're using a slow 2h weapon. A 1h simply won't get the same effect (which, with a 2h, is a giant crit for a large amount of their health).

I have found the most success with simply living through the initial stuns, then being able to destroy them, so I suggest using a shield when dueling rogues, though this may not suit your playing style.

if you have good gear, you can snap rogues

as being a rogue myself i found it harder against wars use retaliation after i use all my stun stuff. if i have blinding powder then... suks for the war :P
