Bags are the main thing that sell with tailoring. Basically the only other use is making stuff for other cloth wearers in your guild and for yourself ofcourse.

I would not expect tailoring to make much money, i mean how easy is it to farm cloth. guy on nerghul is selling 18slot bags (rare pat i believe) for 150g each, not sure if they seling but i see them in AH from time to time.

Well, there aren't many tailored items that are worth wearing anyways. I guess shirts and tuxedos are different i guess.

I make green items from tailoring to disenchant for enchanting. When I hit level 20 or 120 enchanting I'm dropping tailoring for mining.

i can make weddings dresses and full tuxedo. neva tried sellign them
mooncloth is supposedly supposed to sell for a lot
mooncloth pattern is sold for 2g iirc in wintersrping
requires 2 felcloth (comes from felwood) and has a 4day cooldown
mooncloth is in AH for 10-15 g, but i dunno if anyone buys it as i don't know if anyone else other than tailors would use it
right now i'm just stashing all my mooncloth in my bank

Mooncloth - used in Mooncloth Bags (duhh), Mooncloth Robe (pattern in Dire Maul - Anthaenum) and other Mooncloth clothing, which is all very good for cloth wearers, and I think the Bottomless Bag, too, though I have never seen one on my server.
ed: http://www.thottbot.com/?i=27904 <thats the bottomless bag. Not really "bottomless", but 18 slots is nice.

consider yourself lucky. proudmoore prices are at 10g. I've been hoarding over 30 mooncloth, just waiting for the market to go back up.

Don't choose Tailoring if you are interested in making money.
Choose gathering professions (Or if you are smart, Enchanting).
Or if you are even smarter, take Lidow's advice: start skinning/mining then drop skinning for engineering (And if you are the smartest, do that, and in addition take enchanting on a lvl 5 alt, and disenchant the right things out of the AH, to sell back for a profit).
In my experience, people choose Tailoring for only a few reasons:
1) They are interested in Archmagi gear.
2) They are interested in helping their guild.
3) They are impractical.

Yeah Gismo, I didn't realize what a money drain tailoring and enchanting were until i rolled an alt on another server and have 2.50 gold at lvl 17 :-)

Enchanting mats are going to be BoP soon...
You're kidding!
What a travesty!
That's been my soul means of making a profit for months!
When is this happening? And any chance you can link me up with where you heard it?

Wont happen, might make 1 or 2 mats BOP like alc has black lotus...

Why are enchanting mats going to be BoP? Blizzard trying to force people to take other professions or something? I find it quite nice when someone comes to me with materials and asks me to enchant something for them and gives me a bit of money for doing it.

I heard it from a bunch of different guildees in a high end guild a while back. I don't know if it's for sure, but I wouldn't put it past Blizzard to do something like that.

it does make sense that some mats might be BoP eventually; alchemy has a bop herb after all. maybe some dust that comes only from MC epics or something.

They won't be BOP unless blizzard changes recipes like belt of the archmage to not require them.
