I think this quest is really buggy, and I've noticed some reports on Thott as well.
I originally recieved this quest like a week ago.
(You retrieve it by looting the Empty keg located near the Venture Co. Sludge Fen in North East Barrens)
The bugs begin here.
3/4 of the guildmates who had tried to loot the keg - including myself, experienced loot-bug. We couldn't loot it, but we were stuck in loot mode. I relogged in and tried again, and luckily I was able to loot it successfully. I was the only one who had such luck.
Anyway. So I delivered it to the Brewmaster in Ratchet, and did the first Collection quest he sends you on.
Then for the second part, he sends you out to collect some other stuff. I can't remember what it is at the moment, but it basically involves collecting 5 items from the higher-level thunderlizards in the southern barrens, 1 item from a greater thunderhawk, and 1 item from a kodo or something.
The Kodo item was no problem. The thunderhawk was a pretty rare drop, but I got that without a problem, too.
But the 5 items refused to drop.
I counted over 200 kills over the course of 3 days before I gave up. 0 drops. Other members of my guild experienced the same problems.
I tried the quest again on Wednesday, and I got them all EASY. Like 5/6 drops.
My guess is the scheduled maintanence on Tuesday fixed the problem?
Or is someone else still experiencing it?
And yes, I was killing the correct/same mobs the whole time.
