this is the build for... a lvl 50 warlock?

if 10 points are missing like I suspect, I'd recommend demonic embrace and imp imp, as this seems to be a pve build more than a pvp one. That still leaves 2 points, which would fit nicely in shadowburn and finishing shadow mastery or something.

shadowburn returns the shard at lvl 60 like its supposed to now.

its crap, drop it, i tried it and it's lame.

"Improved Curse of Agony - 3/3 points
Increases the damage done by your Curse of Agony by 6%"

never was a strong point, that +6% is only 62 damage on a lvl 60 CoA i believe....so not much. its weak, drop it.

no fel concentration? um....

and improved lifetap is a definate must, between, the stronger drain life and dark pact youll be a mana machine.

and teh full 5 points into shadow mastery is always good.

I didnt see that you chose those two talents and not fel concentration before, but yeh I agree with pzarr on that one. As for imp lifetap... at lvl 60 lifetap was almost never required on the warlock I play sometimes in MC. Darkpact gives basically infinite mana from an imp, its just a matter of global cooldown which also applies to lifetap so no need for both imo.

Those 2 talent points would be better spent finishing shadowmastery and getting a whole new spell;shadowburn imo. thats getting into details and personal preference tho

while if youre doing strict runs then yea imp tap isnt needed, its definately noticeable outside of instances and seeing as he's still 50 he'll be doing more solo quests and whatnot. after i switched out of affliction to demonology i can still definately notice the difference in my life taps. the extra mana helps and definately adds up.

This is my revised version of Affiction warlock based on the advice you guys gave me, what do you think?
A question i have is why would a warlock base his skills on Demonology. It seems that most of it is pointless and would only need it if you only did group stuff not pvp?

actually its probably BEST for pvp with aff or destro on the side. soul link is just amazing.

demonology/destruction will generally eat a shit-ton of shards. If I was down with that kind of shard management, I'd be all about that build, but since I'm not, I'm going with..

...all these talents 5/5 or whatever
22 affliction (corruption, imp lt, imp ld, fel conc, amp curse, nightfall, grimreach)
8 demonology (imp imp, embrace)
21 destruction (imp sb, bane, imp firebolt, reach, shadowburn, devastation, ruin)

thats very true for the most part, except that soullink generally for me means i dont have to use shadowburn OR my healthstone as i just outlast the opponent so much better. warlocks have way more in hp than other classes and that extra absobtion is just a killer.

when BG's come out im goign to be experimenting a lot between 5/31/15 and 20/31 as my talent builds. soullink right now is an incredibly strong ability and i dont think people quite realize this until theyve dueled a rogue and are able to just tank it. the question for BG's is whether i want burst damage or being able to consistenly stay in the fight.
