No offense, but since you didn't hear any of the submissions, you're really in no place to speak that way.

Complimenting him is fine. Downgrading the achievements others have made is not. I realise you're just trying to voice support for him, but you can't just make comments like that when you don't know what else was submitted.

I.C. Shadow Im well aware that there were obviously better acers than myself. And I am not complaining about your choice. I was just bummed I didnt get picked was all. But I fully understand that there were better people qualified than myself. Its fine. I appreciated the chance anyways, and I cant wait to see who you guys pick. Hopefully maybe L0tus or Enowe those are people that truly deserve the A.C. spot. Hell, they were the two people who got me started in wanting to do an A.C. And I want this site to maintain the quality it has had over the year that I have been here. And On gromash's defense, I dont think he was really downgrading anyone's achievements. Because who ever gets picked definitly is qualified as an audio commentator.

However, I do think 1 minute was a little bit too little. And I will admit, that I probably went over the minute mark. I just didn't see what one minute could really do. But anyways thats not important. Good luck with the next round whoever made it! And I will be sure to listen to the new acers audios.

Where did i exactlly mentioed anything about other AC'ers? i know my post wasn't that clear since i forgot to put "IMO" in the end of it, but i was just kinda voting for Zap thats all, and am sorry if i made a misunderstanding situation.

Just a thought though.... i think there should've been a poll here at the MAC'er's board, and u should've waited for the results before u made ur choice, coz who could say who is a better commentaror more than the users of WCR? u know we're the ppl who download and listen to AC's right?

I was applying for Audio commentator too, I got past first stage bit after starting to record my audio for the second stage I thought to myself that I really don't have a good enough voice for it :(

You got a good voice, clear and interesting and flows well, so although you didn't get the job, keep up the audios, they are good!

Thanks but thats the problem, I found myself doing the same thing in the audio I was preparing for the wcreplays application.

Unfortunately I don't seem to have the "gift of the gab" so the words don't flow out as well as some people, so I end up "ehm"ing :(

Oh Stig, maybe if its not too much trouble could you do an audio on another human mirror. Uh...the 46 min. game between omgg and uh that other guy. Its on the front page. Id like to hear your thoughts on why the game lasted almost an hour on such a small map as echo isles.

I was referring to the "no one else could fit the position better" part, because since you haven't heard all of the applications, you really wouldn't know who is suited and who isn't. ;)

Yeah, but just because one audio is good, doesn't mean a person necessarily deserves a staff position, nor does it encompass previous behaviour, nor does it make clear any potential issues that may arise once the person is on staff. A member poll could, under the right circumstances, be helpful, but I'd like to think that the people doing the hiring - people with months or even years of experience in doing so - know what they are doing, and since our entire goal is to find the people that best inform and entertain the members, I'd say we do a fairly good job of that. After all, lots of us are audio fans just like you are, and chances are good that our likes in audios will mirror yours.

Yeah, Glad's right, I don't think anyone minds the occasional link to the forum. The only time I, personally, was annoyed was when one guy posted three links to one audio (he posted the same thread 3 days in a row), and then started doing the same thing when he posted his next audio as well.

As long as you're not mass posting about how you made an audio, then no problem. Also, lots of people put links in their sigs. You might consider that.

@DrZap: Yeah I applied for the AC job and sent them a full AC. (But I don't know...I did a human game (and I've never played HU) and spent the first quarter of the AC cracking a lame-ass joke :p. oh well...fingers crossed :D)

At least some more exposure for member audios would be great. Some of them are really good and don't pale in comparison to the "official" ones. So it's a pity that 99% of the people who visit WCR never even see them.
