What do you think is the best combination for a Hunter ?
I was thinking of going for mining & blacksmithing.
But is the skinning & tailoring/leatherworking better than the first combo ?

skinning and mining first, drop skinning for engineering when you have a bunch of money for a mount and such. save a bit of the ore you mine to level the engineering later, as well as all of the gems and stones you find. thats how I would do it personally.

Or just go mining/engineering off the bat and make gun/scope/bullet upgrades for yourself as you levelup.
There's a few patterns i've found that make a crazy amount of money too.
I can make a deadly blunderbuss to sell for 2g on my server as long as I selll about one per day. Another 3g for an advanced target dummy. 1-2.5g for thorium widgets.
Also sometimes someone wants to do that 'that's asking a lot' quest from the argent dawn guy at LHC and they need all kinds of bombs and triggers and shit and you can charge out the ass.
Other than that, I think engineering is not only the best trade skill ever, but with a lot of gun/bullet patterns it's really awesome for a hunter.
Also definitely train up first aid as a secondary skill at the minimum. Cooking/fishing could save you money feeding your pet but it's awful boring and dull imo.
