From Sk-Gaming.com:

High-seed Pool:

FoV (def. champion)
SaSe (Sweden 1)
ReiGn (Korea 1)
Wolf (France 1)
ShoCK (USA 1)
FuRy (Sweden 2)
EnDure (Korea 2)
FaTC (France 2)

Medium-seed Pool:

Insomnia (Bulgaria 1)
Sky (China 1)
miou (Germany 1)
apm70 (Russia 1)
Creolophus (Norway 1)
SeaWeed (USA 2)
Sweet (Korea 3)
ChobO (France 3)

Low-seed Pool:

Giacomo (Czech 1)
Satiini (Finland 1)
ToRReN (Spain 1)
PaTo (Brazil 1)
Zerter (Netherlands 1)
VankOr (Greece 1)
Syc (China 2)
Spell (Germany 2)

"All the players will be divided into eight groups with nine players in each group. One from each of these seeding groups will be placed in each group, and the remaining players will be divided into the groups. The random draw will be done Tuesday July 5. Needless to say, the draw can be very important for the various players's chances of advancing in the tournament."

They based the seedings on countries qualifiers results and last years eswc results, so that's why you won't find Grubby there.

But is Grubby in it, unseeded??

Based on skill, a couple of those top seeded guys should switch with the medium seeded ppl. I don't even recognize the names in the low-seed's lol.

And I had no idea Cherry Reign was skilled enough to come out of anything in Korea.

Pato, Zerter, Vankor, spell I recognize as in I've seen 1 or 2 replays of them. But other than that, no I don't. I couldn't even tell you what race they play if you asked me right now.

Yes.

ReiGN has always been one of the best korean undeads.

Grubby will participate in the CPL summer tournament, not in ESCW.

no its not... considering that MWL he beated Susiria and Gostop on mirror which secured hes group first place (and those games i would say a bit one-sided at least vs gostop).

Those seeds are a bad joke...
I mean SaSe, Wolf, FatC in high seed, and Sky, Sweet and apm70 in middle? Even Miou and Creo are better than those 3.

Why are there people who finished second in the high seed pool? Korea "might" deserve rank 1 and 2 for the qualifiers to be in the high seed pool because the qualifiers are by far more difficult than any other place, but Sky (China rank 1), APM (Russia rank 1), etc... there are many other good players who deserve high seed. And whoever is unlucky enough to get Grubby drawn into the group is screwed. It's possible to have something like FoV, Sky, and Grubby in the same initial group!

to noble paladin, it has to do with how many seeded players a country is allotted and how countries did last year. Neth. for instance is only 1 seed. Since zerter beat grubs, zerter is seeded, grub is not. Etc.

Yea, but if they make groups according to seedings it would be a really bad idea to seed them like this. I mean anybody knows that Grubby, Sky, Sweet, Apm70, ... should be considered high seeds.

yeah seeds are pretty weird.

Their method of seeding is nothing short of ridiculous. They did not use it for Quake 3 or Ut2004.
