I would love to run an art contest here, but there aren't enough artists and I have a feeling I would get 10 paint drawings.

You know, if you ran a contest here, I suspect you'd get mostly everyone from the Maelstrom as well (especially if you posted there as well). I know I'd enter. And then there were some pictures here made by newcomers to this site - like lordofjoherring (or whatever :p) - so it wouldn't be that bad. Maybe not better, but certainly not any worse that previous WCR contests.
