i just started an alliance character, and i see there is a lot of info about horde instances, but if anyone could list a couple of good instances to do as alliance (just until level like 35...by evel 35 ill have heard/seen what to do) But i know i did WC/RFC/SK and got some pretty ncie blues to level up with etc, just wondering if anyone could list which instances will give me some decent items to hold me over so i dont have to spend pointless gold at the AH

deadmines, stockades, and gnomeragon are the equivalent instances to wc/rfc/sfk
Deadmines is great, with some nice rewards. I must admit that most of my experience in DM comes from being boosted or boosting friends with lvl 60 mages, so i can't really say how long it will take in a normal group. Not only the quest for killing VanCleef has nice rewards, but there's some blue's to be found there for every class. Casters can find the blue ring from the smelter, and the staff (best blue staff until illusionary rod becomes available) from the captain. 2h melee classes should farm for Smite's mighty hammer, and for rogues this instance is just perfect. 6 agi/3sta cloak, a nice 1h sword, and ofcourse the defias set which is made for rogues.
Stockades is short, and the item drops are kinda crappy. None of the bosses here drop blue stuff like normal instance bosses, except for a rare spawn. This place is great for exp though, it has 6 quests in total which can all be done in 1 run. Since the place is so small and packed with mobs, you'll be fighting constantly, making it good for exp runs. A decent group should take 1h30m max to clear this.
I myself hate Gnomeregan, probably because of the amount of times i died here. Home to some of the most annoying mobs in the game (arcane nullifiers etc). Has a bunch of quests with decent rewards (great rogue pants for killing main boss quest btw), and the bosses drop some nice stuff too. This instance is pretty long, especially when you're not skipping anything to do quests. Probably about 2h30m in a normal group. The vicious fallout boss drops nice caster boots and caster dagger. The main boss here is a pretty big step up from the rest of the instance. If you had trouble before, expect to die a few times on this guy. Thankfully you can get in relatively fast again thanks to the workshop key backdoor. His best drops include a funny cloth helm, a nice 2h mace and a blue ring with resistance and random stats (depends on suffix, of the eagle, of the bear etc)
edit: oh and levels, deadmines is about 19-23 (can farm until 27 or so), stockades is 24-28 (can farm until 30), and gnomeregan is about 29-33 (can farm until 35, but i strongly doubt you won't hate this instance after a few times).

I don't get this Horde vs Alliance instances thing. Some are in Alliance territory, some are in Horde territory, and some are in contested territory. It just comes down to your willingness to travel.

Oh I see what you mean. I keep forgetting that instances have quests since generally only the lower level ones are worth doing just for the quests. ;D
Given that, I'll make a list. AT, HT, and CT mean Alliance, Horde, and Contested territory respectively.
Ragefire Chasm (HT) - Horde quests from Thunder Bluff, Undercity, Orgrimmar
Deadmines (AT) - Alliance quests from Westfall and Stormwind
Stockades (AT) - Alliance quests from Stormwind and other locales
Wailing Caverns (HT) - Horde quests from Thunder Bluff and crossfaction quests from Rachet
Shadowfang Keep (HT) - Horde quests from Undercity and Silverpine, Alliance Paladin quest
Blackfathom Deeps (CT) - Horde quests from Zoram'gar Outpost, Alliance quests from Auberdine and Darnassus. Paladin quest.
Razorfen Kraul (HT) - Horde quest from Thunder Bluff and crossfaction quest from Rachet. Also crossfaction warrior quest. Alliance quest from dead dwarf at the bottom of the Great Lift.
Gnomeregan (AT) - Alliance quests from Ironforge, Kharanos, and Stormwind. Horde quest from Orgrimmar.
Scarlet Monastery (HT) - Alliance quest from Desolace and Horde quests from Undercity and other locales. Crossfaction mage quest.
Razorfen Downs (HT) - Horde quest from Undercity. Alliance quest from Stormwind.
I think everything after this point is crossfaction, in contested territory.
P.S. I wrote the stuff above pretty fast, so it may be sketchy.

There's a horde quest for RFK in TB...I always do it with casters for the beryline pads (cloth shoulder) is great for at least 10 levels.

I'm mainly on Skywall (PVE) and less often on Mal'ganis (PVP). I suggest you find a leveling guild on a newish server so that you have people to group with who are also new to the game as well as realm hoppers who are a bit jaded and could teach you a thing or two.

Thanks! I updated it. :)

for the most part doesnt, but with ToEP, some good gear, can get the poly off easy with frost nova+blink, get 40 yards, and if anything crits there will definately be trouble. It doesnt really matter if the shaman has NS, because you can repoly, bandage and repeat if they use it.
usually its just not happening though.
