This is great news, ive been hoping for a reset for a long time. I'm definately going to start laddering hard again, I think a reset will make it more competitive. This also hints that blizz might be ready to release a patch, and hopefully a new/tweaked amm!

I'd be supprised if they changed the AMM much. I also seriously hope they release the patch as well, it's long awaited/over due. Hopefully the changes will not only be beneficial to me as a human player but also help balance 2v2 a little at the same time.

Only changes required on the AMM are a reduction or increase of the search range.

+- 6 ELL doesn't work for all ladders. It should be calculated by average games played per week by gateway by game type.

That's quite true unfortunately.

However I'd be utterly dissapointed if these two things weren't changed in some way:

NE staff.
Destroyers.

Every other possible imba I think is quite slight, although I do agree there are a lot of things that could easily need a change as well but these are the two most obvious things that need changing.

Yes, it does rather demotivate you since any level you reach or nice stats you get in solo/AT or whatever will be irrelevant in the not so distant future.

it's to the point where I only win about 1/4th of my games against equally skilled players. ;/ I basically only win in mirrors, against orcs, and on lost temple. any dumbass ud that knows how to mass destroyers or newbelf who has the 10 apm required to save every bear with a staff is unbeatable. :[

I know that, considering this is the 2nd reset. But I mean his amazing solo record he amassed is "going down the drain," because it is. I would deduce from what i've been observing that every race is equal in the way that if it under-balanced in this patch, it will be imbalanced in the next patch, it's the circle of life and it keep going around.
Therefore i play human now, not because i particularly like human, but because in the next patch human will be imbalanced. I promise.
