Oh, about bots. Stealthbot may or may not be better then EternelChat by Spht, but I know for a fact that GuardBot which is not publically released is the best channel moderation bot around. SoulTaker runs the bot for like 15 different channels. :\

and photoshop 7.0 (not 8.0....doesnt work, has to be 7.0...)

and then u can give the units new skins, its really confusing though..O_o

warcraft art tools + 3ds max (7?) + photoshop 7.0 + good knowledge of modeling/skinning = Creating own units

Added a new feature to now view the player's hero usage (so I can skip watching NE replays where they use BM... I hate that!). To use it, hit the spacebar after selecting a player. You can keep the hero usage window open and then select another player name. Hit ESC when done to close.

Also cleaned up the random race detection which was broken since 1.1.5.

Hi,
I just downloaded Keycraft 2.0.1 and I have been unable to get it to work.
I entered in my desired hotkeys and clicked the icon 'Save to CustomKeys.'
I then loaded up TFT and played a game, to my dismay the new hotkeys were not in effect, the default keys were still set.

Am I missing something, or is there something wrong with my install?

I believe you have to use a War3 key, but not certain.

If not, have one person use the bot, while another invites to the clan. Have the bot controller accept the invite. It SHOULD work, and if it doesn't, I'm 99% sure the problem would be you not using a War3 CD Key for it.

Shadow is correct.

Only @Azeroth tags can be invited to be in a clan.

Only War3 Clients (currently, and probably forever) can use @Azeroth tags.

You can make the bot the ops for the channel, but that's it. Unless you plan on getting a new War3 CD-Key.

Also, I know a way to get Blizzard to give you a new key for $10, but until I get permission from the mods, I'm not posting it.

I'm using the program W3GMaster, its the best wc3 replay program imo. It displays apm, chat, actions (right click, group keys, commands, build etc), units/buildings/heros/upgrades made and it auto renames replays and the apm chart is bigger so u got a better view.

I'v used all the other programs displayed on this forum but i like this one most, even if it looks old.

Although the W3GMaster may be pretty good otherwise, it has some weird bugs in apm checking (I've seen the cases when it shows like 500 apm for the guy that was in a game for 20 minutes, and I, for one, do not beleive that's virtually possible). And by the way, it also shows the wrong player as the winner sometimes.

My replay tool does auto replay saving as well. Just minimize it to the taskbar tray and it will automatically save replays at the end of a game. The naming template is customizable.

I used to use Keycraft back in the day but of course it doesn't work with recent versions. I tried to contact the author but got no response.

I am currently considering writing my own program similar to keycraft that would work with the new heros, allow passive abilities to be moved and maybe even have hotkeys for custom maps like dota and footman frenzy as well as single player missions.

Of course, this means starting from scratch to get basic functionality.

Here's a list of what I think needs to be done:
1. Learn how to use Visual Basic (it doesn't seem that hard so far) :crazy:
2. Get a list of hotkeys from the warcraft files (the customkeys.txt is incomplete and I'm sure exactly how to get the info from the mpq files and map files).

Would anyone here like to see a program like that? Please only postive responses, i.e. nothing like "I only use notepad" or "the default keys are fine." I will take no response as meaning that you don't need a program.

Yea almost half the features in War3chart no longer work :(. It would be great if someone could update that program. I think making a new Keycraft that works with all the neutral heros and updated spells would be almost as good as an updated War3chart. Does anyone know if WC Info tools has a button that allows to load replays in the game? W3gmaster has it but it doesn't work anymore with 1.20c cause it says that replay version is incompatible with game version (I guess the "c" did that mess..)

LoL yea, I would like to be able to do this myself :( But, it's got to be very difficult because your essentially forcing a window on top of an application that takes up full screen. I don't know if this could be done, let alone how it would be done. On the other hand, you could write a program that counts the number of clicks from the mouse/keyboard and reports an average APM with an audible tone.

Supposedly its not to hard to add a Ctrl+c spammer to the script they have at autohotkey.com. I gave up on trying to do multithreaded programming due to time, so I probably won't be making this program myself. However, the script they have is nice cause it sits in your task bar and remaps the inventory + holds down alt for you ;) Just had some quirkyness when typing.

As I understand it, apm programs consider any click or keyboard press that sends an action to wc3 as 1 action. Save for that last exception, it would be possible to write an autohotkey script to count your actions in real time. The only problem would be displaying that information, because besides audio output I don't think there are ways to recieve output from autohotkey without minimizing wc3.

Sure, that's easy.

It sounds like a good idea, so you can get the new version of the script at the same place. If you give the script your name, it will only send the message to you like Grom_Icecream suggested. Right now the timer will send you a message every minute, irregardless of your APM. If you want it under a certain circumstance (such as only less than 100), change line 34. And you can change how often the timer goes off right above that.

Make sure you get the latest version of autohotkey. The newest one types a lot faster and won't interfere with your game.

There are two for each because I wanted to work with the numlock key on or off. Numpad0 is when it's on, and NumpadIns is for when it's off.

The only way that I know of is to physically change the files in one of mpq files. For example, you would have to replace all of the "red" images with "blue" ones.

It looks like LAlt and Del are used in your script instead. You can also get an APM scipt with my program.

oh snap, sorry but I forgot an important line of code in there! I don't why it doesn't show up on my computer...

AFAIK LAN tournaments generally allow mouseware installs.. so are all those pros, many of whom use diamondback etc. (extra buttons for macros), cheating too?

There have been customkey programs for almost two years, and we've provided links to them ever since they first came out. It isn't illegal, Blizzard doesn't care, and it doesn't cheat anybody in any way. It simply makes it easier to use spells in games because you can attach all spells to four or five easily-accessible keys.

And it doesn't make it any easier to win aside from making it easier to remember hotkey placements in the heat of battle.

They most likely permit macros that hold down keys. But...

That is kind of an iffy subject. Blizzard has this to say:
4. Your Use of Battle.net.

A. You are entitled to use Battle.net for your own personal use, but you shall not be entitled to

(v) use any third-party software to modify Battle.net to change game play, including, but not limited to cheats and/or hacks;

To me, this means you just can't use map hack or disc hack or some other cheat like that.

AutoHotkey (http://www.autohotkey.com/) (and my program Warkeys/AutoWarkey (http://warkeys.sourceforge.net/) ) accomplish the things you can do with one of those $100-$150 keyboards that lets you remap the keyboard keys (like a Zboard (http://www.zboard.com/us/products/keyset_wow.asp) for WoW). The only difference is that AutoHotkey uses software instead of hardware.

You could always just buy a lock and place it on your keyboard to hold down the "[" and "]" keys so you can see the healthbars all the time (I did this for Doom2 back in the day before you could auto-run :naughty: ) or you can just have autohotkey emulate it for you.

However, I wouldn't be suprised if they wouldn't let you play at a tournament because of AutoHotkey. I doubt that they understand how it works and they might be quick to ban it. :disgust: But then we can't really be sure unless we ask them and it would be unfair for those of us with a cheap keyboard.

Blizzard can't really detect AutoHotkey so you won't get banned (you could make a macro that types a message really fast, but they wouldn't care about that).

Some of the AutoHotkey scripts I've seen can use image detection to Auto-cast spells and automatically do other things for you. This is borderline cheating in my mind, but I do think it's all right because it doesn't give you an advantage in the long run and anyone can download AutoHotkey and use it.

So in conclusion: Unity(X)Death is still an idiot (who thinks that even using the CustomKeys.txt is cheating :rofl: ) and AutoHotkey is NOT cheating because you can just go out and buy a $150 keyboard or $2 lock and accomplish the same thing.

One last Note: If blizzard hadn't written such a bad :censored: customizable game in the first place, we wouldn't have this conversation (back in the day there wasn't even CustomKeys.txt)! They really should have put an auto health bar and inventory remapper in the game. I do NOT consider it cheating when we use another program to fix their :censored: mistakes.

The CustomKeys.txt I sent you was generated by my program Warkeys: http://warkeys.sourceforge.net/

To do what MFO did with his keys, all you have to do is download my program, choose align keys to grid (the bottom left button) and press Save to CustomKeys.txt (the bottom right button).

It took me months to setup my customkeys.txt by hand and when I made a mistake it would crash Warcraft (I got several losses on bnet until I found the problem). When I wanted to change the hotkeys, it just wasn't practical.

Using my program, it took 5 minutes for all races.

Only an idiot would think using Notepad to modify the CustomKeys.txt would be better.

I don't like w3charts..u can't load the replay in the game with that program. It will open only w3chart and there's no button like "view in game" like in w3gmasters...

It looks fine as long as those are the correct scan codes for the healthbars. You can add something for escape too in case you cancel a message.

The revive heroes in the customkeys.txt look like this:

I think you're having a problem with the buttonpos to revive heroes. Unfortunately, it seems that they will always be moved to the upper left position. However, the hotkey remains the same as to train heroes.

Yes, you do have to do it for all the heroes. I highly recommend downloading my Warkeys program. You can even import your old CustomKeys.txt so you don't have to start from scratch.

No, the order of the commands does not matter in the CustomKeys.txt

You should add these lines to the top of your script:

Again I recommend getting my Warkeys program. It comes with a program called AutoWarkey that makes creating your script a bit easier. A new version of AutoWarkey is almost ready to be released that will be even better!

Thx for all the answears. I downloaded Warkeys and installed it, but when I tried to import my customkeys.txt (checked all three boxes) it said: Unknown Command Found In Customkeys File: Transmute On Line 60 File Reading Aborted.

What does this mean. Kinda hard to go through and look for line
