Hey. I don't play DotA at all, I've played it 2 times and I realised you gotta play it 50 times just to learn what items to get and how to get them, so I never tried.

Anyway, I've always wondered if it's totally balanced? I don't mean the Heroes, because they're obviously not balanced =P I mean the creeps...if you just let it go on and on...will it be a forever lasting game or will the armies of one side stand victorious?

Just don't reply with "of course it's balanced nub". Back up your statement...anyone know anything about this?

EDIT: Reason I wonder is that I read smoewhere that it wasn't balanced...the Sentinel would win after some time. I just want to get this confirmed if it's true or not, and if it was true but they've patched it etc.

well you can't say its totally balanced, it wont be actually (neither will wc3) but IceFrog and the TDA clan are constantly working on balancing it out as much as possible, they have plenty of testers for sure (100+ iirc), and i think its quite balanced the way it is now after this last version released.

as for the creep spawns, you can notice some major increasing on creep numbers on a certain lane sometimes late game, but the spawns are totally random on that, IE: the sentinels gets 2 creep waves in a row, those creeps pushes a lane, and then 4-5 minutes later the scourge gets the same 2 creep waves spawned at that same lane, the point of this is to encourage a team to push that lane (when they see lots of allied creeps on it) and it also decreases camping at towers+farming situations, note that sometimes you gonna get like 3-4 creep waves in a "row"(a creep wave every 5-7 seconds), so ya that about creep waves spawns.

Also, it depends on what the creeps attack. Sometimes the creeps from Sentinal will attack only one creep from Scourge, taking that creep out quick, while the Scourge creeps attack 2 or 3 different creeps.(This could also happen the other way around) I believe the computer has some micro =)

I don't think you will ever come across a game that is totally/perfectly balanced. Too many variables, too much to consider for that to happen.
