Is there a channel for good dota players to meet up in to play some matches or hang out in?

For example, clan net is a good channel for tournies or AT games and usually has good players who will play.

There already is a channel and it's pretty damn good, I don't think any other IH compares...

You need IRC (a client like MIRC will do)
log on to irc.quakenet.org
type /msg q hello
follow the instructions to register your nick.
Then type /join dotapickup.euro

Once in the channel you can read up on the rules but basicalyl it's fairly simple.
There is a bot in the channel..
You type !add and the bot adds you to a list of players.
when there are 10 players in the list the bot will give you the game name and you all join it and play. The game format is -ar.
If someone leaves or cheats or has bad manners you simply take a screen shot and write it in the channel.

I know it all sounds complicated but it's REALLY worth it.
Because at any one time there are between 500-1000 players in that channel. Games are starting up every couple of minutes so it's REALLY easy to get a good IH DOTA game without lamers or leavers.

At first I thought it was too much hassle but now whenever I want a serious game this is where I go, it's much better than somewhere like TDA cause TDA has maybe 30-50 players in channel compared to this and it's not as easy to get a game started. This is the reason why it's so hard to get a pubbie on Northerend cause all players are playing this.

We Need to start a good channel for dota and more b/c the largest channel in west for somereason is clan net and i hate it. So if their are any channles tell the realm and clan name

Most of our members are not European, so playing on European hosts sucks hardcore.

anyway maybe someone should start up something similar for US hosts, cause clan TDA just doesn't compare to dotapickup.euro :)
