Any thoughts on getting rid of Mirror Image?

Not saying this is a huge problem or anything, but this isn't solo, and I can't just dispel mirror images/illusions with my priests/shaman/dryads etc. This can pose a problem when you're up against heros like siren or lancer with manta style.

Are there any tips for dealing with these heros or dispelling mirror images in DOTA?

AOE Spells seem to do the trick quite nicely.

Radiance. owns purely cos you can see which ones are taking the most damage and focus on the on who isnt, if that makes sense

Taking out images would render PL useless and he is a fun hero. I think images should be left alone. It adds a dimension to the game and makes it more fun.

you can destroy 2 images with dual voodoo from lion/rhasta with guinsoo. and yes, you can voodoo 4 images if you want to waste a refresher orb cooldown.

however, if you want to use 2/4 voodoos, you should use it on heros that you know are real. i'd prefer to have 2 hexed heroes+ 1 unhexed hero, and a bunch of images on the other team than 3 undisabled heros and a bunch a of images.

oh yeah, wanna know the other way voodoo counters images? you cant use items(manta style) or skills (mirror image, conjure image) while hexed 2 times, then shackled/impaled, then hexed 2 times again. :dancing:

Syren and lancer without image would b very very useless.

The point of the post was, are you really going to waste 2 voodoos just to figure out which one is real.

Terrorblade with two images has +110% damage due to his images which can be countered with two hexes. His point wasn't that hexing is the best counter to images by any means, he was just saying that they can be used to counter images. It doesn't help so much with Phantom Lancer (because his images just come out from his passive, no coldowns required) but vs every other image hero, regardless of it being an actual image hero or someone with manta style, voodoo can work to neutralize them. He wouldn't be wasting two voodoos to find out which is real. He would be using two voodoos to neutralize two of the images that will be burning mana / dealing damage to you. Hex isn't the best counter, he never said it was, but it can work if you use it correctly I suppose. You're both right, but I <3 simiwizard because he is gosu.

It is extremely easy to find the real hero in DotA. Just watch the damage they put out. If they are taking damage that is even simpler. Most players are bad and will just micro their main character, not the images. This another tell tale sign. How ever don't be confused by a skilled player who moves a high hp image back to fake you out.

It's just as easy in ladder but in ladder you generally have a lot of things to focus on so this isn't something the majority of players learn.

Just to clarify, I was not asking that mirror image should be nerfed on PL and siren. I was asking how to get rid of the images, as it can become really difficult to figure out which is the real image with all the mayhem going on - picking on the wrong illusion can get you killed pretty quickly once heros get higher levels. So far, it sounds like there is no real dispel option, and one has to damage all the images at the same time, with either cleave or aoe style spells/skills.

no thoughts on reallt taking aoe away

If they have crit going off, watch the one that crit for highest, disable and beat it down.
