Coalition of the Octopi. No I don't get the name either, it's just like a play on words or something... shut up it's cool!
Anyway, Octo is pretty much TDA (Team DotA Allstars) West reincarnated. Now while we're a ladder clan, not a DotA clan (As many of the TDA players also are good at ladder), we have many of the people from TDA West joining here, as well as a few others. So basically, we're up for DotA occasionally, or any other silly custom game as well, provided we have the numbers in the channel.
Now, Octo at the moment is just a fun clan for relatively good players to hang out, play games against each other, and just generally enjoy themselves, and I think that's all we're really going to be. I consider it unlikely that we will join leagues or anything of the like, so if you're a competitive player, I'm afraid we might not be able to accomodate you (Although you could of course just join Octo on West and join a more competitive clan on another server).
However, this doesn't mean we don't have standards. Octo isn't just a free entry clan - We do want you to at least be competent in the way you play. If you want to join, we'll probably just look at your profile, and if we may deem you good enough based on that, but we also might just have a few test games, to make sure you know what you're doing and you aren't some game masser. Also, while Octo isn't specifically a "friends clan", we are a fairly peaceful community, and we aren't going to take anyone who's an asshole or who annoys us.
Benefits of joining Octo would be:
-A very active community that plays games often (There are always like 5-12 people in the channel)
-Lots and lots of AT games
-Private Ventrilo Server
-A good bunch of people to train or muck around with
So, if you're a good player (Most of our members are level 20-30) who wants to have a friendly, lax, and above all; Active clan, then join Octo - Just visit Clan Octo on USWest (Lordaeron), and talk to one of the Shamen, or Captain_Hook our awesome Chieftan. Hope to see you around.
