APM in relation to race.

Ok, I have a theory that a certain race generally has a lower APM then the others, and, one in particular.

Please pick one race & one set of APM. Please be honest, pick your average APM, not your best, not yourr worst. Interesting to see if theres any corrolation between the two...

My prediction: Orc,Undead,Human,Night Elf.

I play mostly Elf i get around 180 to 240..

And no i dont spam when the game starts, it have 50 or so and going up when im in battle so it might be even higher if I did the "gosu" spam start.. But its just NE imba away ;P

It's because it does. a player that has 200 apm without crazy spamming for instance like grubby will almost always have an edge over a player with 100 apm.

It's because it does. a player that has 200 apm without crazy spamming for instance like grubby will almost always have an edge over a player with 100 apm.

My main race is Undead, and I notice I get around 120-140 with Human, 100-115 with undead, 100-105 with night elf, and 70-90 with orc.

UD>NE>HU>ORC in terms of skilled at race for me.

Undead: 230-250. Don't spam, but I do make use of a lot of control groups. So it takes a lot of actions to move my army around. 1a click 2a click 3a click etc. A LOT of tri-hero micro too.

for 1 week or so in a league i played spamming apm because som1 made fun of me and i got kinda of angry ( that was long ago )
for this week my apm was >300 and i saw how useless it was just wasting fingers

after that i've tried to play w/ really low apm , like 40 or so and in team games its possible to play decent but on solo your apm goes at least to 60~80 in order to win because in the battles you gotta move ur stuff

Human/orc/Ne: I get 60 apm, because they require little skill to win. (attack->move -> win)

I am ud, 150-180 apm, but when playing elf I am acting like all elf-imba-users only dh+panda/naga dryads bears vs all and spamming apm about 280-320 hehe its funny^^

I find it also depends on the length, type, and intensity of the game as well as the strategy I'm using.

For instance, my APM is usually around 140 when I potm/hunt but with mass dotts I never get anything lower than 200.

So many clueless people TT. Madleon and Rainbow have the highest apms (they both play human). Why? Because pros dont use autocast not even on priests, healing elementals or 23 hp footies not very helpfull, not even going to mention the multi-tasking you dont get with staying 50 food ud or elf, orc (zacards apm for instance) on the other hand is a different story since they have to use a lot of abilities.

Yeah sky and other top hums use it, especially when they riffle pushed, I remembered Noconce speaking about it in an AC too... if you a+move or focus with your caster group they would attack or if autocast on they'd heal random units. So instead of that u select them individually on the screen making more actions (select 1 priest, e+ click on unit) = > more apm. Also given the fact of how the human army's work you can't a+move you have to focus each unit: sb/footies on raiders, WE's (pierce) on walkers, just sorcs on grunts, heroes on heroes (2 heroes damage combined goes up to 100 dps in a 1 min battle it adds up nicely especially vs blademaster or deathknight it's a must if you want to beat anyone better then average - well at least on norhtrend/kalimdor).
