Are you in hype mode for Wimbledon yet?

Muguruza lost. A bit disappointed. Crowd was awful.

Thiem vs Djokovic next round though. Although historically he has not played well against Novak. Kinda lol'd just now too...I was looking down at old visitor messages, said I didn't like Thiem as much. He's up their as one of my favorites now. Seems like a decent guy + big game and no fear.

I don't suppose you pay much attention to women's tennis, but there's certainly been a lot of drama lately. Sharapova finally back tomorrow. The funny thing was Radwanska was making comments about how she shouldn't be getting wildcards, and they were drawn to play in the 2nd round, but Aga lost. Made me lol. Masha's agent put out a statement shitting all over girls like her + Wozniacki. Called them journeymen on the tour, and said something like even with all the top players missing this year they still will never win a slam.

ANd oh yeah...speaking of drama, did you watch any of Goffin vs Nadal? I was out for breakfast so I didn't get to watch, but talktennis was raging about the chair ump in that match. Guy had no reason to even get up and check the mark, but did so anyway + totally deflated Goffin.

A little disappointed with Sam not putting up too much of a fight in that match, but I wasn't really expecting a whole lot from our squad. I don't really support the Americans anyway, other than Sam. Problem we've had for years now is that every American is almost the same mold of player...serve + forehand, not great movement or backhands.

I hope Thiem does well at Monte Carlo next week, but oddly enough he hasn't performed too well at the clay masters events. I want him and Pouille to start challenging for big events. But they havent...meanwhile old man Roger keeps adding to his trophy collection. Not that I mind that...just feels like we've been waiting forever for serious challengers.

I put a bet on USA beating Australia in Davis Cup after them going 2-0 down. I stand to gain around $140 so am watching this Krygios match with some interest!

Edit: Not looking likely to happen now, but it was always a little bit of a long shot. Certainly don't think it was a reckless gamble, tho.

    Crazy AO, eh?

So I woke up early to watch Milos play Rafa and kinda wish I hadn't. Rafa was in great form but Raonic was absolutely below par. More routine backhands missed than normal, sketchy net play, and wild forehands on some of the biggest points of the match. It felt like a step backwards from what we've seen recently. Rafa made it tough, though. In Brisbane he was way behind the baseline to return Milos' serve, but here he was attacking it super early. Input from Moya probably helped. Disappointment aside, I like what I'm seeing from Rafa and it makes me excited for the coming months.

Well. Only a handful of guys have beat Pete at Wimbledon and Krajicek is one of em. He won it that year, but no other slams to his name or slam finals if I remember correctly. Mostly a serve and volley player I think . Great serve (one of the best alltime probably), decent but not great forehand/backhand. I think it's interesting. I don't think they can improve his serve much, but tactically I'd like him to go away from the body serve that he tends to overuse.

I'm getting very excited for Hopman Cup also. #1 is Roger playing again, #2 he's playing with Belinda, #3 she'll be prettied up for the player's ball.

Mmhm, I saw that. I'm not all that familiar with Krajicek though so can't really comment on the pairing.

Raonic teaming up with Richard Krajicek apparently.
