Hey Dan how hard is it to get into Computer Science. I don't mean getting into the program I meant learning and stuff. I kind of want to explore it as a career option and I know you have some experience in the area.

Thanks, glad you liked it. It's not my point, of course, Steven Pinker made it in a book of his fairly recently, and I also saw those murder rate stats when I was reading a paper that David Buss had written some years ago. But yeah, relevant.

Interesting point on the murder rate of primitive society's compared to us now. I hadn't considered the angle that even with all the killing that we do, our current population is so many times larger than the past.

It may also be that we have lucked out so far that the countries' that have acquired nuclear weapons have been very restrained with them.

Anyways, good post, those types are some of the reasons I still like coming to WCR.
