lmao Ollie's. That's almost literally next door to my dorm. We can chill but you have to carry the pizzas. I simply don't have the strength in my heart to do that again. How long are you in New York for?
  2. Elven_Lord
me too. First blemish on my flawless wcr record. Shit mods treat me like I'm some average exo...

And yeah, I don't understand this "ghetto" nonsense that goon brought up. Nothing ghetto at all about my 80 square foot room with a beautiful view of the shaft of the building. It even has a kitchen with silly kids leaving their frying pan lids out there for convenience. Little do they know a certain someone has been abusing their carelessness, if you know what I'm saying muahahaha

well dude there's obviously a ton of shit to do. Not entirely sure what you're looking for and I'm no New York City veteran but I do know of some places that I have enjoyed. For a piss-dirty city New York has a surprisingly large amount of absolutely gorgeous parks. I highly recommend visiting the cloisters garden in fort tryon in addition to the typical riverside/central parks. It is incomparable to the garbage midwest parks which makes no sense to me. While in that area you definitely should take a tour of st john's divine cathedral, which is the largest cathedral in the world (pretty amazing if you think about it). Protip: ask for Father John and debate the existence of God using your superior atheist logic. But really that place is breathtaking when you enter. Also, you obviously must visit the many museums of Manhattan, which you can find online.

You definitely want to go to a rooftop bar at least once. They are usually very pretentious and definitely not my scene, but it's worth it just for the experience of drunkenly dancing with a sick view. Le Bain is great if you can get in (just tell them you go to Columbia). I also highly recommend Terra Blues, which is a very chill jazz club. Try to go on a week night if possible when there are very few people and it's like a private show. I've had awesome experiences there. In terms of a general bar, you might want to give Temple Bar a try. It's quiet, has good drinks, and is less of a sausagefest than your typical college bar. Nice if you actually want to talk. That being said, I mostly stay in the upper west side which has literally nothing interesting to visit other than the great university of columbia.

As for food, manhattan is obviously quite a place. To be honest, just go to seriouseats.com. It has a comprehensive guide to the entire city and they make a point to try lesser known places. It's basically what I use whenever I want to try something new.

Bro, just saw your message. What is ex0 saying exactly? I don't know what thread this is being discussed in. He's trying to say that you shouldn't treat people as means but as ends in themselves or something?
