I don't actually live in Detroit anymore but I used to live on Fourteen Mile. The more famous part of Detroit (aka the really dangerous part) is further in the city, i.e. around 8 Mile so I never got into a lot of trouble, although I recall one time when my parents and I had to get a police escort to see an opera because it was in the dangerous part and people there will mug you if they even suspect you have a few dollars in your pocket. I suppose that for fun we would watch a Red Wings game or mess around in the snow.
