Yeah, I definitely considered it, but I didn't feel like eating macaroni n cheese and sleeping on dirty mattresses for the next few years. The model wasn't really scalable in my opinion and I was doing pretty much all the work while my partner was still getting a big piece of the pie. It just wasn't gonna work out in the long run. I don't think I'll start a business with a partner again. Unfortunately, I was warned about that at the beginning and blew it off as just something everybody says.

I'm actively looking for a stable job now...something related to digital marketing hopefully. Just freelancing a bit while I have the time and to get a little extra cash. But I'm keeping that living off the government thing in mind. It seems to be a pretty popular career initiative lately.

Well I don't sell insurance myself, I just deal with peoples' RRSPs and pensions and whatnot. I don't know much about other side of the business. I'm not even making fat loot yet. It's not as fancy as doing high-end maths for the unknown branches of the American government anyway.

Hah, only partly a commie freeloader. I was paying rent and I had a job, just not a stable one with good hours. Now I work for a financial/insurance company. I sold out to the man.

But it didn't go exactly as planned. The security company went out of business, because that industry is pretty much a monopoly with ADT running the show. We had six clients, but both my partner and I graduated in December and knew we didn't have the experience to take the business to a level that would pay decent salaries any time soon. Shut it down officially about a month ago -- I've just been picking up freelance jobs on Elance.com until I can find something steady.

I was moving cause I didn't have a steady job so I was living with some friends for a while, but now I can afford my own place so I am!
