Lan-Z ChampionShip 2005

We proudly announce the most important event we ever have done: "Lan-Z Championship 2005". An international event, that will be organized following the most high standards, and that will have the presence of the important and famous players and teams of the global scene. The event's goal is to get a place in the international calendar and to place Latin America in the world e-sports map.

Lan-Z Championship 2005 will host the last Stop of the CPL World Tour, professional circuit with 1 million dollars in prize purse; the largest videogame tournament ever. Besides CPL World Tour, Lan-Z Championship 2005 will have other three official tournaments: Counter Strike 1.6, Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne and Starcraft Brood War. The total prize purse for the event is US$ 70.000.-

The total prize purse for every game is: Counter Strike (US$ 10.000.-), WarCraft 3 (US$ 5.000.-) y StarCraft Brood War (US$ 5.000.-).
Along with the professional cybersports competitions, the event will have other big attractions: a BYOC area for more than 500 people, an awesome sponsors booth area and plenty of activities and fun for everyone. Everything will be broadcasted worldwide by the american multimedia group, TSN, that will travel to Chile along with all their staff and equipment, commentating the best matches of the tournaments. Besides TSN that will broadcast in english, Lan-Z Radio, pioneer station in the professional radio broadcasting spanish spoken, will be broadcasting at the same time for all the spanish spoken part of the world.

Up today, we are working hard to get Lan-Z Championship 2005 Official Qualifiers done in a large ammount of countries, contacting potential partners in such countries. We have started negotiations with companies of Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Perú, Ecuador, Colombia, Brasil, México and Europa that we expect to get confirmed as soon as possible.
This event, never done before in Chile, and that will be held in the San Carlos de Apoquindo Convention Center between October 28th and 30th, will be possible thanks to the important support of Ripley, main sponsor, Intel, worldwide sponsor of CPL World Tour also, SimpleTech, AOpen, Tutopía, Kem Xtreme and El Mercurio.

During the next weeks, we'll be releasing more details of what will be done at the event, teams and players that would confirm their attendance, international qualifiers and ticket sales. Since now, we invite you to participate of this important cybersports event, that we expect will show to the rest of the world, that Latin America can do it too.
