weird, it seems unlikely this will fix the delay, but I hope there's some noticeable improvement.

I can't think of a better way to kill off wc3 other then implementing some of the bnet 2.0 changes to make it more modern. Would be funny if they did that.

At least now we can get hacked with better latency.

Why doesn't someone post in that thread asking for a hotfix patch?

"We are removing some of the servers from our basements, which were used for wc3, because they are soaked from floods. Battle.net will be one global server now because of that and will be located in muhrika. We'll be incorporating a standart ping of 400 so that the gaming experience is fair."

Why useast and not here in California.. And that would be SICK if it brought the delay low.

I'd actually play ladder on wc3 if the latency was better. Don't really care about hacks anymore, I'd just leave.

Since it is blizzard saying it; I've two problems with this:
may 29. But no year has been stated, for all we know that could be 2015. and "approx. 2 week testing time". since last time they said "soon" it turned out to be 13 months, "approx" is probably 2,5 months as well ![]() |

I don't think there is going to be any change in the software. It would be really nice to have a lower min-latency though.

Can someone tech-savvy explain the jargon in the blizzard post please? What will it mean in practical terms?
