Is there a way to prevent disc hack?

Earlier today I was playing a tournament on bnet and owned this noob who was obviously using maphack. But then went I went to kill his base he used disc hack. I guess I really didn't know how bad the situation was until now. Anyways, are there any programs I can use to prevent disc hack?

it can't be used on someone else who has disc hack (if it's the same as it used to be). i don't know if there's any other way around it though

So I have to download an illegal program to prevent this? Fuck that... I guess the new DMR tactics blizzard uses are actually pretty useful so people can't use keygens to create new hacking accounts

it's against the ToS to use third party programs, but blizzard doesn't do anything to stop the people who use them anymore, so using one to prevent disc hack (which used to be common place, maybe still is) is justified in some ways

I can recall hitting 4 disc hackers in a row, and 1 map hacker. Wouldn't blame you honestly.

There were at some point anti hacks that kept you from discing without causing your opponent to disc. Im not sure if thats the case anymore though. Iirc its not and the best option is to rush with defend footies (if they towered up which they most likely did). Other races are sol as far as i know though if your opponent plays his cards right. So play on garena or suck it up. I know people at top ell northrend that say the hacking problem isnt that bad and ive aleays thought that the problem has been exagerated. Yeah every once in a while you will face a hacker, but if you face 5 hackers in a row you're either wrong or on a bad string of luck. Note, a few years ago it actually was like that for a few weeks, but the game received several patches and there were several mass bans and antihacks were out. I'm pretty sute its not nearly as bad now, but there are those few notorious hackers out there. Like i said, if it really bothers you,use garena.

yeah, I always ask maphackers why they hack and always two answer:
1) because they have to since they are unable to beat the massive amount of hackers, without hackers.
2) or they are mentally incapable of typing out proper words, let alone answers. These are also the people that still lose using hacks.

Also, my computer denies dischacks. I have honestly no idea why. I just get FPS drop during the game to roughly 40 FPS (using /fps), the opponent often fakes afk and doesn't do anything in the game. Sometimes they build a couple of buildings but I guess the fps drop applies to them aswell.

He said it was antihack but some speculate it was a delay reducer since he was in china at the time which lags hard on kalimdor which is meant for koreans. Delay reducers were commin for chinese. Also my friends and i all used anti hack when ladder was unplayable without it and never got banned, but its entirely possible that his antì hack got him banned considering it was probably a different version, him being korean and whatnot.

yeah its a great world; anti-hackers and lag reducers get banned but MH and drops go unpunished : ).

essentially what I've seen is that it's kind of a crapshoot as to whether or not it actually disconnects you, ive probably lost 70% of the time but theres still that 30% where the game drops and it gives me a win, or when it doesn't disconnect at all. I can't really understand it to be completely honest, but from what some people have told me if you have a super-fast computer you are pretty much invulnerable to it, but if your computer isn't as good you're toast. I play on a three year old laptop that wasn't that great to begin with, so it makes sense why I get dropped most of the time.

On Azeroth, it's pretty bad. When I search for a game, if I match one of a group of a few drop hackers, they will consistently continue to search on different 13-0 and 14-0 accounts over and over again against me. It's not like an every day occurrence to face four or five in a row, but it happens enough to be annoying. All in all, I'd say I match at least one dc hacker a day when I play 8-9 games.

My computer is roughly 5 years old and I have only been dropped twice; gaining a loss. The rest of the cases it backstabbed, just caused lag for both players or didn't do anything (never noticed that, so that is a guess).

Buttt, I build this computer myself and it has some damn efficient RAM in it compared to its other features. So yeah, I guess you are right, if your computer is able to calculate at an high rate the drop hack can not send so much command that causes your pc to max out = drop. Mine just goes to the top, causes lag, but it pikes there so just lag, no drop.

So based on that; what actually can help; shut down all irrelevant processes so your pc has more memory left to register/work with the incoming drop-commands from the hack.

My computer used to be able to withstand drop hack, or at least the drop hack where they shared units with you and it caused massive lag. In truth, my computer wasn't quite good enough to handle it, the lag was so bad that I really couldn't do anything, but I didn't drop and I always typed, "Thanks for the units, lol" and they left as if it had no effect at all. Was pretty funny, actually.

Well, I am not playing anymore but that doesn't sound right. There are way more hackers now than ever. Since blizzard just abandoned WC3 it's paradise for hackers.

The only way to play hack free games, or at least having a far less percentage of hackers to play against, is playing in garena.

Dischack/sharehack/drophack is a tool that sends mass comands from their connection to yours therefore causing lag, by this case if your computer (mainly ram) is better then theirs they will simply not be able to drop you, which is why in many cases drophackers fail.
