    Vista/Graphics card problem

Randomly my screen freezes up and a popped up thing comes up that says "display gfx card has stopped working" or something along those lines. I've been getting it ever since I've gotten my computer and have updated my video card. Anybody know what's going on?

re-install drivers, if that doesn't work then re-seat the graphics card and re-install drivers, if that doesn't work then the problem is deeper (perhaps hardware?)

If nothing works from what TaysChreNN said to you then install XP, Vista still sucks!

I was/am experiencing the same problem that you described. I have SLI GTX 8800, sometimes my computer also completely freezes, and i get a blue screen. When windows restarts it says a problem was caused by Nvidia drivers.

Reinstalled the stupid drivers like five times, and I still get the stupid problem.

Power Supply, make sure it's enough to handle the entire system.

If you were directing that comment at me Strangers, my power supply is 1000 Watts.

@Hairydude: I meant it for the OP. As for your thing try diff versions drivers? Driver Sweeper to clean previous installs.
