    Maximum memory module size?

Hi i have a M2N-E motherboard NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI.

And i have a Maximum memory capacity of 4gb. I used the system information program to show me what kind of memory i need etc.
The program said i have a maximum memory moduel size of 1gb, does this mean that i can only put 1 gb of memory in each slot to total 4gb? or can i put two 2gb memory sticks in 2 slots?

    Thanks for your time Wcr!
