i started this thread as a journal/way to post my replays

disclaimer, im not amazing (or even redrag) but i just wanted an avenue to note my journey and along the way share some fun replays/get some feedback from the community.

if you wanna comment on a replay or w/e go ahead, try to keep it from personal flames and stuff.... also please constructive crit, i mean you'll do w/e but im asking nicely =-D

the first 3 diamond level games --

Game 1
has me up against a terran on desert oasis
going into the game i had the mindset to get a quick robo/obs than switch to colo or HT, probably colo
i made my 2nd gas too late, so i was super late w/ the bay/colo
i got rolled

Game 2
has me up against a zerg on XelNaga Cav
going into the game i was thinking of 2gate-fe depending on what he's doing
i scout and see 6/7 pool
i had gone 14 gate, so i just left (i normally leave if someone 6pools me, its just not worth it to me)

*BUT* i realise if i wanna get good and do any sort of league/tourney's i need to learn how to beat this...... sooooooooooooooo
advice?

Game 3
oooo this is a fun one!
i am up against a protoss on delta quadtrant
this is one of my favoriteist maps, but its also one of those cheese maps so ya

i go for a 4wgate, w/ a proxy pylon near his expo so i can jump the chasm (since its not uphill you see over, just enough space for a few units)
as im destroying his base i notice he has a few cannons and isnt leaving
i quickly see 3 VR @ my base
we continue base trading, as i try to repel it a little bit, but he caught me off guard w/o enough gas for a full 4 stalkers so i end up just hunting his stuff down
he hunts my stuff down
its a race FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
who won?

again any advice/comments welcome

Against zergs scout after pylon, if you see a 6pool just go 10gate.

yeah do a 10 gate if u see him going 6pool and slap a Zlot in the ramp and im asuming u walled the ramp with the gate and u are trying to finish the seal with the Zlot

Game 1
me vs a toss on steppes
he tries to offensive pylon me
he eventually gets a few settled down w/ some cannons
he gets down 6-7 cannons outside my base
i turtle w/ immo/stalkers
what happens nxt is pure poetry (lol)


Game 2
me vs a zerg on metalopolis
those who know me, know zerg is probably my weakest matchup, if the zerg applies any sort of pressure on me i just cant handle it
anyways
i find out we are closed spawn (im suprised cause his OL never goes near my base @ begin)
i notice he did a sort of extreme FE (hatch BEFORE pool i think)
so i quickly go on the offensive, he manages to hold it off @ first, but the power of 4gateways will not be denied!

Game 3
me vs a toss on steppes
he ends up getting a pylon in on me and warps in massively
i need to rewatch this and see EXACTLY what i did wrong
any tips?


thx for anyone who MIGHT be reading/watching
would love to hear any feedback concerning the reps and what not.

Just let him be, theres no reason to derail this thread argueing about something so stupid. Just continue posting your replays as you like, I'm sure some people like watching fellow WCR people play.

this replay pack definitely has lots of ugly, even when i win its like pitiful
sorry, i think midday gaming im not that sharp so i make lots of mistakes
in one of the games i made gas before gateway, i forgot i didnt build a gateway
wow.... lol anyways

Game 1
Here im put up against a random player on steppes
he randoms zerg (fantastic)
im pretty sure he 6 or 8 pooled me.
i learned vs random/zerg @ small 2player maps i NEED to go 10 gate @ this level
too many zergs i play go fast lingz
its starting to frustrate me at the rate of 6/8pooling zergs @ diamond level, but oh well!!

Game 2
During this epic battle i am up against the famous Spydermine! (he's toss)
ok maybe he isnt famous, anyways he goes 4wgate, i go 2/3 gate - 1robo
we push at same time, my army knocks on his door step, thinking no one is home i decide to go in
BAD IDEA
he utterly rapes me poor units, including that sexy immo
i rally up the troops for a counter, he just pokes in backs up and expands
i push out again w/ some more immo this time!
4wgate vs 3wgate/1robo
we have a scuttlebutt @ his natural, its not looking good for me as he throws down 2 more wgate

Game 3
in this fisticuffs i get vsed a zerg on delta quadtrant
Again, i get ravaged by a quick hitting zerg
another game where i was all sorts of out of wack
i think i was trying to warpgate/phx/who knows
really bad game on my part, late cyber, late gway, late EVERYTHING
ravaged, utterly ravaged

Game 4
This scuffle takes place on the oldest RTS map ever, Lost Temple
We spawn cross map, i even went 10gate to make sure no 6/8pool lol
i transition into (he stole one of my gasses, so that set me back) double gate, mass-ish Phx's
he already had committed to 6-8 muta and had begun harassing me ever so lightly
the phx HARD counter the muta and i run circles around him w/ like 4 phx
He hard counters w/ hydra and some evo chambers, not soon enough though
i got tons of OL kills and some queen kills
while all this is going on i was slowly teching to blink stalkers (slowly is key word)
as i begin amassing a 4wgate army we clash outside his base, many units were lost, he backs up a bit after destorying most of my army
we rebuild, i throw in 4-6 Vrays and continue the phx harass, at this point he has like tripple spore colon @ both his bases
i take my 3rd base we continue fighting!
VR FIGHTING!
gg's were had

Game5
this epic battle has me in a mirror on steppes
curiously enough i begin to wonder how players as bad as myself/andrae can make diamond.... oh well
he opts for a 1base phx harass (wtf?)
i opt for a 2 base immo/wgate army
needless to say its pretty 1sided, even with him getting 6-7 probe kills and gravitating my stalkers in our final confrontation
i try telling him the peril of phx in mirror (wtf, who goes phx?)
he gg's and thats a wrap!

me vs a zerg on steppes
he early pressues me and i am just too slow
god i hate rushing zergs lol

Game 2
This epic barracks floating game happened to take place on steppes of war
the game starts w/ some basic scouting then he goes into turtle mode.
He continues to frustrate any attempts of scouting once he throws up 2, NOT JUST 1, but 2 freaking sensor towers
putting me on the super defensive
he takes a huge hit into my expo than backs off
i take my army the roundabout way and attack him from a different angle taking advantage of his immobility
i beat back the attacking force and go on the offensive
at this point he has 3 bases i have 2ish
who wins? *cliffhanger*

Game 3
This game is brought to you by the letter 'x' as in, PHOENIX!
Me and this zerg face off on the great map 'desert oasis'
I start off w/ the mindset that im going to mass phx or something, i noticed he's playing it safe and not rushing me (finally!!)
i even think ima proxy pylon, but by the time im about to build my sg, he's OL has left my base so i decide to just build in my base
i begin to harass w/ phoenix and the game goes from there
i transition into an expo and pushing w/ 5 wgates

thats it for today as its time for me to goto work!!
