Footmen frenzy 4.2 and run kitty run were the ones i played the most. Too bad the latter's creators had an awful taste of music so i was always forced to mute the in-game music and insert my own which was annoying.

There quite a few notable mentions which i enjoyed but forget their correct names, like fire vs trees, impossible bosses, pimp my peon, impossible bosses, ARE YOU A RETARD?, tales of warcraft, alies vs predators, footmen vs grunts and a few others which i forgot.

fire vs trees (tree tag) sucked after people added blink to ents. much more interesting without it.

footmen vs grunts (humans vs orcs) was better when it was simple imo. might as well just go dota if u like these now.

own additions:
Doodads god wars! was funny for a bit, still play once every 2 months or so vs comps.
Civ Wars//Castle fight never really liked castle fight much, but i liked civ wars.

TD's massive support for the following:
Islands TD
Gem TD
Power Towers
Minotaur TD 2 (not so well known, but wow that was a decent solo mazing td)
Burbenog (for those 2 lazy to maze, this probably is still one of the best)
Line tower war (not quite a td but meh close enough)

Day of the cow was good for a bit also

Mad Balls Arena (i think it was called like this) = ET is better but still funny
Ellimination Tournament (by Gadden i think) = one of the best custom games for wc3 ever made

Heroes and Armies - Not too well made, not very balanced, but HILARIOUS

Footmen Frenzy - I don't think there was ever a 100% balanced version, but was fun at times.

god wars (by doodads) - really awesome game, but takes some playing to learn and never took off.

good question, i would say the best by far is dota. some other i would reccomend are footmen frenzy, bleach vs naruto, DON.Battle.Stadium,Maze of Porn, Inyuasha blade battler, Naruto,RPG

I loved those income games, mostly Hero line wars but also Tower line wars, I found them skillfull with lot of possible strats. They could have made great independant games.
I liked Footmen frenzy, Enfo's, Murder in the mansion(funny one), but I never got into the DOTA mania.

tom and jerry , kodo tag and well i really enjoyed myself playing most of the old zombie maps with bit of story like resident evil ( map which was copy of movie ) really fun with ventrilo and friends and i think those DnD ( dungeons and dragons ) maps are pretty cool shit
