Help me find this movie

Alright, so this has been bothering me for quite some years now.
All I remember was that there was a guy that was solving some puzzles and stuff and the most important thing that I remember is the end imo. So, there's some parade on the streets (something religious) and there's gonna be a murder and the main character knows it. There are people dressed kinda like the kkk and the guy takes off one of the people's mask and he's just a normal person - not the killer. Then in the end he draws a weapon and shoots a statue (it was a female statue I Think), that is carried by some people in something like a chariot or some sort between the eyes and the police catches him takes him on the ground and in the mean time the statue starts bleading between the eyes (falls and brakes and the killer is revealed - not sure about that)

Oh my fucking god. I think I know how the villain looks like, I know him as an actor but I don't know his name and I don't know what movies he's been starring in. FUCK THAT WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE 2011 FFS! HOW CAN I NOT PLUG MY BRAIN AND TRANSFER MY THOUGHTS TO THE INTERWEBS!!
