config pc for sc2

hello , i'm about to buy a new comp and it would be great if you tell me what u think about it .

I will play mainly sc2 and mb some other games and i want to have smthing that will be decent for the next 2 years.

my set up :


Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.C - 500 Go 108,95 € ( mb i will change this cause it sucks but hdd's are very expensive atm)
Arctic MX-2 7,91 €
Advance V-A80 2,89 €
Arctic Freezer 13 27,90 €
ASUS M5A88-V EVO 107,95 €
Nexus ultra soft silicone fan mounts 2,95 €
Corsair Value Select 8 Go (2x 4Go) DDR3 1333MHz CL9 50,35 €
AMD Phenom II X4 975 Black Edition (3.6 GHz) 149,95 €

and i dunno yet which graphic card i will get mb this one :

AMD Radeon HD 6870 1 GB (~150€)

so any advice ?

I'd say your graphics card, ram, and processor will definitely fit your needs. I have pretty similar specifications and I can run battlefield 3 highest graphic settings no issues. And ya HDD's are ridiculous expensive right now due to the flood damage in Thailand, literally more than twice the regular cost now in some cases.

dont go for phenom... i3/i5 is better

If you can afford the i3/i5 go for it, but I wouldn't stress about getting one. Especially with AMD being so much more affordable.

Intel Core i5 2400S (2.5 GHz) 179€
Intel Core i5 650 (3.2 GHz) 169€


is this one "AMD Phenom II X4 975 Black Edition (3.6 GHz) 149,95 €" much worse than the i5?
