Try throwing cold water on it
Hey,
So I built a PC a little over 2 years ago and everything is fine it's just that the odd time when I sleep my computer and then I'm like "oh crap, I forgot to...." and then click my computer mouse/hit a key on the keyboard to stop it from sleeping/wake it back up when it is done the process then my computer doesn't wake up. I can't do anything to wake it up.
So I hold down the power button and restart. But there is no POST beep. I have to take off the side of my case, remove some RAM, re-insert the RAM and then close the case for it to boot up with a beep. Once it does that, the start up is quite slow, I get a cursor with a blackscreen... the login screen is visible and then goes away. And then it comes back again. I log back in, everything i slow initially but okay after the initial few seconds to start up. Everything is left as it was on my computer as if it hibernated or something.
Is there a way to stop this/turn my computer back on properly after I have tried to awake it mid-sleep? Anything?
I have a gigabyte p55-ud5 motherboard, a gigabyte nvidia 460gtx graphics card, 12gb ram if it helps.
Thanks!

This is why I'll never build a computer. Dell would never have these problems.
