Zotac and Hosting Woes

So I am currently sitting here waiting for Zotac 271 to start and I am once again feeling lost despite the fact that this is my 4th Zotac. I never can seem to understand how the hosting thing works, especially because most people in Zotac aren't anywhere near my geographical location. Apparently, I need to find a host bot in a specific channel if I find myself in need of one. But isn't there an easier way to solve my hosting woes? Even on ladder I can't host which I'm aware is port/router related. Anyone have any adivce or help? At least to make Zotac go smoother?

A) pretty much everyone can host in ggc, even if you cant host in bnet.
B) Hostbots are gamesports cup room 2, ask admins to host a specific map
C) Most of your games will probably be played on US hostbot if you want to because of the AMERICA advantage!
