Chimera splash affects units attacking a building at melee distance, like bears. But if you are attacking a barracks or town hall sized thing then the splash won't reach them. If you use mountain giant with siege attack it also won't reach it.
In this thread, post you're small tips and tricks that can be used to one-up your opponent.
For starters:
-If you're trying to kill elf wisps with a harass with units like gargoyles, dragon hawks, footies, etc. and they keep healing on moonwells, attack the moonwells once. Now if the elf right-clicks the moonwell with a wisp it will try to repair the building, rather than healing the wisp.
-One of the funnest ways to GG and undead is to sapper kill 2-3 zigurats and then snipe all of their acolytes. Your opponent wont be able to rebuild their workers to start their economy up again; they will be forced to either kill off 20 food of units, or to push all-in right there. This is an especially useful trick for human, as your towers prevent your base from being run-over, and you often have extra resources while you tech after a fast-expo.

If the guy is blizz harassing your worker line, building all your farms right around your workers will make it easier to react, because if it hits 8-9 targets instead of 5, the damage will be split among these targets where the total is the same as if it only hits 5 targets.

some might be bascis, but what the hell:
When creeping with orc, be sure the units take the amount of damage that can be healed with one salve. If that point is reached, pull the back, heal them while an other takes the damage. Especially before the SH arrives this is usefull.
Night elf and orc have about the same teching speed. Based on your own tech you can well estimate when your opponent would hit tier 2 for a delay on his buildings. This can however be applied in all ways, as long as you know when he starts teching compared to your own tech.
if you select a wisp and detonate on its face-portrait at the bottom screen, it will instant detonate. Doint this prevents them from moving to a location and be killed by enemy forces before they reach it.
human has an upgrade at the sanctums, allowing towers to see invis units, but also allows arcanes to use reveal once in a while. Get this damnit, it is fucking usefull. Nobody seems to know this.
9 gargs kill a wisp instantly. One less for each attack upgrade.
Anti magic shields from nelfs can be devoured to have it stopped, and fill your dessies with mana. Also suddently making the elf heroes nukable again. Most often in troublesome positions since elf thinks they are save from nukes; which is an illusion.
not sure but; using hold position on WEs before attacking creeps prevents them from being purged. (someone test of confirm this somehow).
AoWar creeping on TS with one archer, place a wisp next the archer (repairing the aowar). The archer will receive LS which can help creep the spot, or creep the green camp nearby. Be sure the LS doesn't make the kill though.
On gnoll wood, it is always the left creep at the shop dropping the item, watched from the pov of the hero when running towards them.
On TR the orange camps in the corners it is always the right if same logics gets applied as above.
If you see only 4 - 5 peasants at an human main gathering lumber when come for harassing, he is eitherway creeping with the rest or expanding. Based on this you should have a good estimate of what he is doing and where.
If a person expands and you cancel it, he is most likely to try over and over again to expand at the same spot. This seems to be how the human brain works at lesser experienced players.
Expand just before you start pushing or when you are winning a fight. This secures the time to put up the expo.
