It sounds like more a more intense version of Sim City music after you reach a new population milestone and have nothing to do for 10 minutes.

I was exposed to them in college as a music major so all of my friends (including myself) couldn't get on their nuts enough. I still remember hearing the outro to "Binky" for the first time and just headbanging to high heaven. I saw them live in November and still believe it was the most clean live performance I've ever seen. Banda Magda opened and SP performed with them and absolutely killed it. The amount of talent in the ensemble was just insane.

I'm actually not a huge fan of their new album "Culcha Vulcha," but maybe I just need to give it a couple more listens. Honestly I don't feel like they utilized all their members well. Seemed like a lot of synths and then only one drummer or, even worse, produced percussion. To be fair, I don't think anything could have followed up "We Like It Here" or their "Family Dinner" albums and not disappointed.

For those who need a couple more sources of what to listen to get into SP, here you go trust me, don't be intimidated by the length of the videos. Or just check one out. They all rule.

    Ok, sorry for gushing
