Can't install the new patch

Whenever I connect to battle.net it downloads the new patch but when it goes to the desktop to install it there's a "Warcraft III is already running" window and then it stops. I think it would work with a standalone patch file but I can't find that. Any ideas?

did you try running it in admin mode?

edit: try uninstalling it and then go to your us.battle.net account, click Games & Codes, and then click Download Clients. It should have RoC/TFT listed there to download.

I believe you need to have the battle.net launcher installed.

That worked! Guess that's a new thing or new to me anyway. Damn kids and their newfangled technology.
