We shouldn't judge eSports by what happens at the top though, but rather the bottom. Apparently every person who qualified came away with 50k, that is a HUGE deal. That is making eSports an actual career for people, and if we see tournaments for games consistently pay out top to bottom (like a golf tournament. Taking 75th at the US Open still netted you 20k) then I think we could see guys potentially gaming for a lot longer than we have in the past. Imagine Grubby coming out of retirement or something, because suddenly you dont have to finish top 3 every tournament to get a legitimate paycheck for your work :o
