The official ruling was that Ron Gant was picked off first base, getting the Twins out of a tight spot, in either game 6 or 7, I don't remember which. Braves fans from that time swore up and down that Herbek pulled Gant's leg off the base rather than making a legit tag on a pick-off throw. From the pictures, I'd say inconclusive, but I was born and raised in Minnesota...
