yea , if u dont you usually end up with a raped/surrounded hero
it helps if u can treat each unit as if it was a hero "quote from cecil"
and if u can see the whole battle and pull of the best micro moves
Theres this thing I've been doing but I just became aware of it.. hard to describe but ill try. Basically instead of looking at individual units you unfocus and see the whole battle which lets you see all your units at the same time?

I hear what you're saying. It's not an easy thing to do, to really be able to take in the whole battle scene. When I watch a replay, I pick up on lots of details that I don't seem to notice when I'm playing. It's hard not to get focused in on one or two things sometimes. I think this becomes more natural with practice and experience. I feel like I've gotten better with this, but still have a long way to go. Closest analogy I can think of is when a point guard in basketball (or even a quarterback in football) has great court/field vision. They don't get too focused on what's right in front of them and they are able to see the "big picture."
