    uninstalling my sound card O_o

    hihi O_o
I uninstalled my sound card, but I kind of ran into a problem, heh.
On the soundcard, there's a white little "thing" (can't describe it, except that its pretty small). Connected to it is a cable from somewhere in the computer. I can't really tell where the cable comes from because it's hidden behind some stuff. How do I actually take the sound card out? I need to disconnect the sound card from the cable, I would assume...
Also, when I install the new soundcard, do I need to connect this cable to the new soundcard?
    Thanks

that sounds like the cable that goes to your CD drive (to get audios from CD's). you could connect it to the new card. read the manual of the new card to see where it should go, but there should be a similar jack on the new card.

if I recall correctly there's a little piece that you press in, then you can slide it out of the jack on the card. Or it might be two little pieces on either side, rather than one in the middle. Either way, it shouldn't be too hard to get it off. Assuming that it is the audio cable, which is what it sounds like.

you dont need the cable to your CD drive. the soundcard gets the connection from the PCI slot.
