    Dual undead 2vs2 strategy

We've been trying this out with a friend and it works cool: we both play as undead, one of us goes DK/Lich/CL (or sometimes PL second, but not very often) and does a fiend build, later going for destroyers. The other one plays ghouls and solo DL, techs to T3 fast for aboms; tier2 he builds a temple first and produces a few necros, then upgrades them once for unholy frenzy.

At tier1, the strat is sound against harrass because of sleep. At tier2, you have the necros (and gargs against NE for instance, also orc if they have wyverns but only as a surprise, otherwise batriders start coming).. otherwise usual crappy UD tier2 Tier3, like stated above, destroyers and aboms.

The units aren't the key issue here though, it's the heroes (big suprise in an UD tactic): we cast UF on all the heroes and send the DL right into the fight. His vampiric aura with UF (also all damage enhancing objects found go to him + orb of corruption if we have the cash), statue healing, frost armor and DK coils... it's amazing. The guy gets ANGRY We usually buy pots for him as well (although we're normally short on item slots ), or a potion of invulnaribility, since it buys time for another coil and vampiric aura healing. If he's about to be killed - TP, but that means that they've been focusing him hard, so the army didn't take much damage. At Tier3, necros are good for keeping the dispellers busy with skeletons, so they don't dispell the UF from all heroes - if the enemy can't dispell all the skellies, they're good for surrounds too (sleep rocks). And in some combinations, 2 or 3 initiate banshees are built for autocast curse (orc especially), the temple is up anyway and their build time is not that long.

The ultimate goal is of course to get the DL to level 6, but he's so useful before that as well. We upgraded the necros for cripple a few times, but it was overkill (not enough mana to cast all that anyway), better to spend money on meele armor&dmg upgrade for that player. Aboms profit from vampiric aura as well, sometimes we cast UF on them as well instead of raising skellies.

We've been playing lower level enemies these days (new account), so maybe that's why it works so well, but otherwise we've only lost when one of us screwed up big time (like forgetting/not having enough resources to go to tier2 while the other one was tier 3 already... yay me :P). My friend was playing orc until recently, so he's pretty new to UD and we still manage the strat pretty ok. Give it a try once for a laugh, it sure cracked me up the first time I saw the DL unleashing all his wrath on some archers, completely unwilling to die despite enemy FF :P

not casting frenzy on fiends oO? they become lethal killing machines with frenzy or lust.
