I been trying to get the splits for a long time and got no results. I been streatching side splits and touching my toes with legs straight. Oddly I can now put my chin on the top part of my shin but still no results for side splits.
I cheaked Youtube but many is only a ten secend clip of a women doing a side split and saying how easy it is.
There are some info on streatching routines but alot are poorly describe which I understand because it is hard describing movement with words.
So far when i do my sidesplit it's 40cm from my groin to the ground.
There are a few martial artist here so maybe the ones who achieved it can share how they got it.
Im trying to get enough flexibility to do a spinning hook kick.

I used to be able to do loads of wierd splits / stretches as a kid, back when I used to do karate.
Can't do crapmonkey now...
Btw the only way to do it is to practice. Push yourself everyday.
Getting perfect side splits takes time, so just keep at it. Its important to push yourself a lil more each time.
