After the recent break up of
Four Kings there has been a lot of speculation as to where the Dutch legend
Grubby will be heading. Well, earlier today it was announced that Grubby will be joining
Meet Your Makers, along with his girlfriend
Cassandra.
Statements from the managers of MYM can be found on the Meet Your Makers website along with one from Grubby himself. Here is what he had to say on the matter:
When I learned that 4K.wc3 will disband, I was looking for a new home. I don't make such decisions lightly, and I had a very clear vision of what I was looking for. I talked around a bit and some promising ideas came up. However, I wasn't prepared for this offer from a surprising corner. When the CEO of MYM expressed interest to talk to me, I was interested to hear what they could offer me. A very pleasant meeting developed into something substantial overnight. Sometimes good decisions are made fast, and that's what happened in this case. I am very happy with the opportunity that MYM has given me, and I enter the team with an expectation of myself to improve a lot. I hope that I can do well and live up to everyone's standards (most of all my own), but also just to have fun and enjoy working together with the people at MYM. I am happy that Cassandra was also able to come with me over to MYM. She will be attending tournaments together with me, as well as having a job in her own right in regards to reporting, coverage, photography, blogging, and more.

You are one negative f*ck. Why do you hate grubby so much? Ciara is better?? He completely outplayed him in a bo5, won 3 games straight, just recently. Go look on the main page, the replays are still there. Not even gonna mention that grubby beats Susiria/Lucifer all the time. The only player who might be better than him on that team is Moon.

haha okay, thx for the information! But frankly, I don't give a sh*t about all this scene stuff, I only enjoy watching good games. That's all what matters to me. It's the same as music, some people get obsessed with artists and want to know their tastes/marital status/who they sleep with/whatever, while some only need to appreciate the music.

grubby is an above average player but now just top 5 orc. with MYM he will be sure to improve! especially with focus to help him.
Although I'm not grubby's biggest fan I must admit that he will be one of the stronger mym player. Moon will still be the best mym player. Luci has been underperforming. But I think focus has showed that he can compete with grubby.
I'm Grubby's (and lucifer's) biggest fan. And MyM is a .ok. clan for Grubby.

I personally would prefer seeing Grubby in a team that will be the face of WC3 in a few months, like aTTax, than a team that has been a face almost as much as his last team, 4K. But this could be fun.
I think both Shy, and Focus could beat Grubby in a best of 3. So the lineup is Moon, Grubby, Focus, Shy, Lucifer, Susiria. 2 Orc 2 NE 2 UD, no HU.
One of the talented HU's around here should raise their game and fill that MYM spot.

I didn't think this would happen to be honest. I mean, they have so many great players, it'll be hard for teams to play MYM. They can throw 2 orcs at you, 2 UDs, 2 NE. If they could find a decent human player, they could be a nightmare to play against in WC3L because you have no idea what they are going to use.

i've been readin the comment on mym site, and to some extend ppl think that this was not the wisest choice of mym to hire grubby.
therefore i have to say i totally disagree! now they have 2 top orcs, so that even focus can progress more cuz he has another horde-bro at his side to think about strats etc.
i also think that this was a very good decision for grubby to do, uz he will gain a lot more from this team then his old one. sry to say but here in mym he will have 2 top uds and the best elf player right now. so if they will practise together and communicate it will also dramaticly improve grubbys shape. and mb his innovation in some matchups e.g. vs elf.

As for the 2v2 comments, from all the games ive watched in WC3L where moon has 2v2'd he was actually very average. He is not a 2v2 player. Grubby on the other hand can pair up nicely with anyone, maybe its what moon needs to shine in 2v2.
Well big challenges wait for grubby because MYM is a very good team.MYM should be expecting to be best clan in world now.

Grubby is one of the best 2v2 players in the world. He has set up great partnerships throughout his career, always innovative- Grubby/Myth, Grubby/Tod, Grubby/Creo each one has been unstoppable... I can only imagine what a Grubby/Moon or even maybe Grubby/Lucifer will accomplish.
But you can't say MyM is the only clan that can beat SK... Mouz has a good chance with Fly and ToD and WE is powerful if Sky plays well... and don't forget BET they still have amazing players like FoV that can pull off big wins. This has made the scene that much more exciting!

MyM will rock now but its better for some good players from that clan to leave cuz they will have no chance of playing now. Moon, Luci, Grubby, Susi, Focus, Shy is enough, maybe too much for their enemies. :D

2) Moon (TS) [swaps w/ Shy on easy playdays]
3) Grubby (LT) [maybe see Focus on 1st and easy playdays]
2V2) Lucifer+Susira [Week 1-2] --> Lucifer(Elf)+Grubby [Most of the season] --> Moon+Grubby [finals w/ secret strategy to beat Soju+Remind]
Ciara will be disappointed and not get much (none) playing time this season. Storm also may experience the same treatment and go into inactivity again.
Upsets (things to worry about):
Grubby < mirrors (Rotti, Lyn. Fly100) and tower pushes (ToD, Sky, Infi)
Lucifer < Ohjie, Soju, Lyn, Remind, Paladins (Th000, Sky)
Moon < hunts mirror (winners, soccer) and tower rushes (ToD)
Shy, Susira, Focus are good but you can visibly tell the micro quality difference between the starters and these players.
Ciara, Storm need a spotlight and EVE has always been content w/ just being "there."
