...animated features that aren't from Japan? Cartoon? I thought that word is reserved for kid's stuff only.
What one word would you use to classify these: Ghost in The Shell, Wall-E, South Park?
Animation? Doesn't sound right. Movie? Too generic :/

Stuff like South Park, the Simpsons, and Family guy are cartoons. Some people prefer to call adult oriented cartoons "animated <genre>", but they are simply cartoons to me
There was even a two parter of south park called "Cartoon Wars", so they consider their show a cartoon I guess.
Something like Wall-E is computer animation.
'Animated' is used often for this.

Here's the dilemma. I wanted to make a thread on the OST of animated features in general.
"Anime OST" works, but it's only anime.
"Animation OST"?
"Animated OST"?
"Cartoon OST"?
"Animated film OST"?
"OST for Animation" makes the most sense to me
"Animated Movie" is the general term.
